2024 Paris Olympic Games

  • for the Mvp not dipend just the points obviusly!!!

Gabi is ranked first in attacking and Reception and among the top 3 players that scored more points.

Of course that the MVP imo should go for a player from Italy but looking just for the numbers Gabi would be the mvp.

  • Not that she'd get the opportunity to smile with Russia on court because you know, Russia's banned. ;( Makes her decision to play for Italy even more smarter.

    True. Ask Putin on that...

  • Gabi should be MVP based on stats but they will give it to someone from Italy, which is totally acceptable. I hope it is Moki. She is just out of this world.

    I would go for Egonu

  • in London 2012 they gave to KYK but I think is more correct to a player from winning team.

  • If I did, I wouldn't be able to post here :lol::gone:

Well, I hope to see Fedorovtseva and possibly Goncharova (with age 39) in LA, so someone should stop him

  • Poulter is ranked first in setter position. Would be more fair imo give to her.

  • One of the biggest turnaround I've ever seen. I knew that Velasco had the qualities to bring the team back to be competitive, but considering we started the year absolutely in the ground, both technically and mentally, this is something crazy.

So many things came full circle, starting from the aforementioned Velasco who finally gets is long-awaited gold medal and writes once again Italian volleyball history.

We left for Paris so worried because both Pietrini and Degradi were out and we found a beautiful Giovannini, making clutch plays and showing a composure of a true veteran. So happy for Sylla too, she was always there to put her face when we were terrible, always the last one to give up.

Two columns of our recent volleyball like Monica De Gennaro and Caterina Bosetti finally have their international big sculp. They weren't washed up and they showed it.

We thought Orro wasn't enough and we didn't have option besides her, and here's Alessia doing tons of dirty work with Cambi ready to come in and making damages with Antropova.

After all the struggle she went through, it's a joy to see Fahr celebrating like crazy. What a wall she was with Danesi.

Last but not least, Paola Egonu. I dare anyone in Italy to say something about her, one of the best performances I've witnessed in terms of contribution, consistency and clutchness. Not just today, her whole tournament was so on point it was almost watching some of her Champions League Final matches.

  • Monica De Gennaro played every single match on highest level. She was outstanding against Serbia, Turkey and USA.

She has every right to hope for MVP even though I think they are gone go with Egonu. And She deserved it too.

  • Egonu should be the MVP

  • Brazil's future is bright: Ana C, Julia Bergmann, Tainara, Diana, Helena, Luzia, Julia Kudiess, Heloise Soares, Lorrayna

Love what Marco Fantasia said about Egonu. I shared every single word.

Once again, Olympics is such a stage for redemption. This for whole the Italian movement after the Tokyo disaster, the WCH 2022 one and well, the ECH 2023 and OQT. What a come back. A tabu is closed.
