fight for the final spot is really going to be between Thailand, Poland, Canada, Belgium (have wins but points are not in their favor), and Ger/DR winner today.
Thailand with most points and best sets ratio compared those behind them.
schedule looks favorable for Thailand as well.Canada faces Turkey and Germany faces Serbia, DR vs Bulgaria before Thailand plays
Any losses by these three helps Thailand before their first match of the last week.
They face South Korea in their first match, and looks like that should be a win. A win in less than five will keep them in front of Poland on points.
Poland then faces Italy, a loss by the Poles combined with a Thailand win, gives them a gap in wins and points and basically forces all teams behind Thailand to win out.
Thais then face DR, and if they win that, they’ll be at 6 wins, and everyone has to catch them by winning.
Poland has China right after Thai/DR game and just is not catching a break with the schedule.I think that the Thais will get in, but face Turkey in the quarterfinals.
