well almost every other federation has a league, so they cant really do that lol. It only works cause the Americans have to go somewhere and the depth that USA has is really good and beneficial to the Italian teams.
And they dont have the business interests that local clubs so... like Turkish clubs arent going to let their players do whatever they want. Italy has no control over their local players (to my knowledge anyways)

They're not getting rid of him yet, but he's certainly pissing off the local clubs and they can & likely will put pressure on the weak and useless federation since they're the ones paying and running the league.
Only time will tell if he's someone they shouldn't get rid of though. He could be trying out things or experimenting with players, but nothing really justifies a 0-12 with only 3 sets won. The Korean players were playing a lot worse than they do even in league.
But the clubs are definitely being 'gangsters' and not supporting the efforts of the National Team, only letting him call up the bare minimum of players and judging his choice of players selected (based on the article)

6-years is a long period! It should be Olympic cycles at longest🤦 even then it is unnecessary because there's only one team relegating every year and they can still survive relegation by winning challenger cup. Previously grabdprix was just a commercial tournament but now it has such a huge impact on world rankings, this unfairness effects Olympic slots 😒

I think Sylla and Pietrini will start. Italy got back to the Euros-winning lineup with Sylla, Pietrini, Egonu, Danesi, Chirichella, Orro and De Gennaro last week and they looked good towards the end of the week.
