their club salaries are irrelevant. this is an FIVB/VBW campaign.
Athletes in the mens/womens major competitions are all awarded equal prize money.
its not about Egonu or whoever.

because there are multiple volleyball pages that are full of it. do i need to go in depth on how often volleynews, GLP, half of the turkish pages are wrong?
"being exposed to the ultra left's idea of equality (like equal pay for wnba players) carried over to these kinds of movements."
oh brother.
In Karch's voice: take a deep breath
In my own voice: California!

I do agree with their overall message so 👍 to that.
Nope. Females are paid higher. There was a figure released by a website on male VB athlete's pay and one of them said they were overblown. I forgot the article where I read that interview.
and was that list of top male athlete's pay from worldofvolleyball or something? lol
I wonder how "reputable" that is, and isn't it from a comment rather than an article that said it was 'overblown'?
Here to drop my little piece of Korean vball again, the top paid male player in Korea is getting 1billion+ krw (roughly 800K euros)
Not Egonu/Haak/Zhu level but it's almost never shown in these top pay lists
Perhaps the #1 female player is indeed paid more than the #1 male player, but there's so many different leagues (not just Europe) around the world, and the range varies so much
Overall volleyball is definitely more equal than football, basketball, etc
Salaries paid in clubs are irrelevant since FIVB can't control that, it is free market. But the price money they are giving in their international competitions should be equal to give the right message and this campaign is all about that as Avid mentioned before.
This new user seems to be really be either a a troll or very confused

According to the rumors, Leon will earn in Perugia 1,5 mln euro per season since the next year, and this is ~salary level he was offered by Russian clubs (before war) past couple of years, so someone started with a wrong assumption the whole discussion. Obviously, it's still very good feature of volleyball that at the top salaries are very similar for both genders, this is how it should work, I wish FIVB would take that into account in their social media activities.
The Women’s VNL resumes with the QFs tonight.
