I agree. That's why I think it was maybe her own choice to be out of it, after the huge disappointment for being excluded from Tokyo olympics.

In this interview (June 2021) she said she was very sorry about the exclusion, despite having shown her skills on court, and that Mazzanti didn't give her any explanations.

Im not really shocked with Mingardi's exclusion. I am more surprised with Antropova's.

She's not Italian, so no surprise in that. Even if Fivb rules in her favor she still doesn't have italian nationality, just sports nationality.

I think the names make sense, Battistoni did very well when she was called off the bench and players like Signorile are very likely out of NT picture bcs they aren't getting younger (Signorile was in NT when Lo Bianco was there...). It's no mystery that Mazzanti prefers Nwakalor (and so do I), she has huge potential, did great both in VNL and club season and is young. I am also surprised by the lack of Parrocchiale but I guess, as some one said, that she is not good enough to take Moky's place and not young enough to be her successor (Btw, she had some physical problem in the 3 match against Novara, may be related?). Fersino was outstanding all season long so deserved call and I am pleasantly surprised by Panetoni, imho did a very good club season and needs to be tested. No great surprises in the other positions, except maybe Perinelli
