Japan Women's NT 2022

  • The players that were sent to France in the past including Ebata all hold the NT ace title while Inoue does not, same goes for Tashiro and Shibata.

What I don't understand is why are most of them distributed to France currently? Why not in Turkey, Italy, Serbia, Brazil etc. The men's team all have different contracts not concentrated in Italy alone.

they could all be under the same agency.

i just found out that mayu's brother, yuki ishikawa never played in a local league in japan. he got really lucky out there.

  • I don't follow the men's team but I always wondered why V League never mentions Yuki Ishikawa now I know he never belonged to any club. The ones I kept seeing are Nishida, Shimizu, and Yanagida especially Yanagida he's like the men's division's poster boy. In the female division, the big NT names hardly ever go anywhere.

  • I don't suppose anyone remembers Hiroko Hakuta? she was a former player from Megumi Kurihara's era. A V2 player who also had NT ambitions. She was almost promoted to a V1 team (not through team challenge) when she decided to play in Germany. Hakuta did well, won some awards in Germany and eventually retired. I think she is the closest to being the only player that did well overseas. She also worked with JVA briefly for the earlier U Squads.

  • Irina why do you insist on that coach who 1. has nothing to do with Japan NT 2. will never help the team in any way 3. has never met the team 4. is not hired by JVA and putting him on such high pedestal it's hilarious when you made up so many lies about how this nt works and you don't even know who the VNL core teams are lmao

And who do you think you are? Are you even part of Japan national team? Why are attacking me when I only shared his point of view? His point of view has more weight because he knows more of the sport than us mere mortals. Your opinion is the only opinion that matters here?

What lies have I made up? Let me say it again, he has connections you and I don't even know of. Understand this sports more than you and I. He actually worked with NEC club (where Koga is) before.

So if you are better than him, have more connections than him and knows more than him, then dispute his point of view by saying something more substantial than just "he's not credible and vague." You can't even elaborate what you think is wrong with his point of view.

It is easier to get contracts for France because they don't have the same foreign player limit that the top leagues implement. If I remember correctly, in the French League, they only need to have 1 minimum local in the court (4 of 7 in Turkey, 3 of 7 in Italy) and no maximum number of Foreign Players in the roster, so club teams there have a lot of foreign players. It is harder to join Turkey, Italy, etc for other foreign players because of the limit, unless they are really good prospects. It is even harder for setters like Tashiro and Shibata since they mostly get spikers and only top tier foreign setters.

  • This is some of the most ridiculous thinking. If France is a better league, and she wanted to try playing overseas, under a Nakata system, you basically were excommunicated from the national team for some stupid reason.

you mean to tell me that a coach who know the best players in Japan (and theoretically around the world) is just going to say no to players going overseas being in the national team. Let’s ask Yuka Sano, Maiko, Kimura if they got back in the national team with him coaching…..oh wait no problem. Got it

Japan practices way too long with the National team in the spring anyways.

except inoue is neither a sano nor a saori. maiko kano is the worst example as she did nothing in europe to redeem herself. inoue has been with the nt as an extra either for nagaoka, kurogo or barely even used at all and she certainly stood no chance this vnl either. what's with the blind faith all of a sudden? weird

What about age? does that go into consideration? I noticed that there's usually a pattern of getting older players rather than younger players among female players

the 2nd highest scorer for Japan this VNL stood no chance? Did you watch the 1st and 2nd week?

:dance6:the audacity of some people to comment like they haven't been watching the actual tournament. And someone here says I make things up? :wall::wall:

is she related to Mioko Hakuta?
