I'm out of the loop in regards to the old national team members, so I'm confused when you guys say "Saori". There are two Saoris, right? Which is the more famous one or the better player?

Saori Sakoda was never known as Saori. In Japan she was always known as Sakoda and for Toray fans they addressed her as Rio. Saori even used 'Saori' as her jersey name in 2011-2012 so she's The One and Only Saori (Saorin for cutesy effect among teens which indicated that she was the trend because she had an idol nickname).
Saori is considered the one top among all female players excluding the legends in Oriental Witches. A Japanese 'miracle', highschool superstar and youngest Japanese player to participate in the Olympics.

I didn't know that they're bestfriends. This makes me happy

Which one? the last part? I guess we'll see after Kurowashiki

After a month-long PR run for Victorina and Hinotori, Takeshita finally joined Manabe at the training camp today

The more I see this Cute Shunichi guy's face and read little blurbs about what he's thinking , the more I like him. His latest is about assembling HS and Uni "selection" teams to participate in the Empress Cup -- I guess like what they did with the Uni girls last summer ... and we all know how much kick ass super fun that was
Anyway
Good times

My guess for VNL roster
not gonna go with a full squad only some players that I think Manabe will wanna put to the test
Aside from Koga Mayu Shimamura Yamagishi
Kojima
Matsui/Miyashita
Arisa Inoue/Hayashi
Yamada/Hammy
Nishikawa/Airi Miyabe/Okumu
Miyabe seems to be in the US?? idk how that'll work for her so if not her then Yuka Sato
I didn't mention any of the uni girls since I don't know anything about them
bolt bruh your predictions match
VNL A TEAM

im worried miyashita will be ghosted again. i think many fans wanted to see her as a starter seeing as how she's technically a veteran already.

And to think Manabe eliminated Kobata to make room for Victorina and NEC's liberos I hope he regrets it. He could've had both Kobata and Yamagishi if he wanted to make Yamagishi the next Sano so badly.

If he's going to eliminate Kobata, then might as well put in Toe instead but no, he didn't

I based it on the players Takeshita mentioned the most. I only excluded Shima because Hayashi seems more capable as a receiving OPP. Although Takeshita never mentioned Yamagishi but it's already a given since she's the most experienced libero.

Which one are you talking about? No sign of Miyashita? or Momii?
-
Mikoto Shima looks so good in that jersey. Don't sleep on her she might surprise all of us
Given a 'company you keep' kind of sleuthing, when I saw that tweeterling I imagined, for a fleeting moment, that YOLO, Shima, and Hiroyo Yamanaka were VNL main line with Tamaki and Mayu
Shima is a solid player

On the 3rd transition, with the 2 girls # 29 and 31. Shima is # 29
No signs of JT players yet

It's possible. We love to see it.
I don't really know Yamanaka. Can you link any videos of her playing
