USA Women's NT 2022

  • I dont think he fell asleep... it was just flat out his strategy.

I dont understand why you spend 10 years refusing to bring in players who cant pass... and then throw in everything for Plummer.

    Klyneman :read:

  • No I mean the other Poultry. Plummer. I guess I thought of the Poultry joke and forgot to care about it not actually fitting with Plummers name.

He's probably after the height and muscle. I've seen her play live and she really has an intimidating presence whenever she attacks. It could work on some teams. Clearly, didn't worked today. Karch should have subbed her already after the 1st set.

I love Kelsey but she was off today. She looked tired on the latter sets. Should have tried SWP instead of making her a service specialist.

  • if he thought Plummer was a starter for the WCH after her performances over the last year... my opinion of him drops even further.

If he weighs his players’ club season achievement really that much, then it wouldn’t be too surprising. Plummer won his favorite Serie A1, while Frantti’s team losing in the quarterfinals, and SWP losing in Japan (& she even decided to stay there for another year!) SWP should be happy that she still manages to keep for spot as a serving sub at least:whistle:

Kelsey was fine. USA should be absolutely pleased that she contributed in the way that she did.

Part of the problem is they're expecting her to be a MBH-esque player. She cant carry that load offensively (nor should she)

I dont know his thought process but he got his Larson replacement with KRob. Maybe he thought he could replace a banger like MBH with another one. TBH Plummer's just too slow for my liking but you can't give up on someone with that much potential. Bajema suits the US system best. Anyway they need to get all the new outsides to sr/defence bootcamp.

Kelsey-SWP-Frantti should all rotate alot within a match imo, I can see that work for USA. Let Plummer stay and be a cheerleader XD more than 3 options confuses Karch

I dont think they even need to rotate, just sub when someone isnt it.

Plummer should not have lasted until almost the end of set 2. Just absolutely no reason.

I feel like Karch always waits for his player to crumble before he finally subs her out. It could be a sign that he trusts the player to recover but, it could also affect the player's morale.

Poulter was missing the connection with her Middles during the earlier set but, he didn't gave Carlini a chance. Good thing Poulter found her pace on the latter sets.

  • I 100% disagree when it comes to the middles. I just don't think they've had enough time to gel. This was Ogbogu's first time being set by Poulter this summer.... and if this performance is stunted growth then I'll take it from her anyday! I do think Karch could've put in Rettke for Washington today though!

  • Lol top scorers are OHs. What happened to Drew's and JT?

I don't think it makes sense to consider their score separately because they were never inside the court at the same time for obvious reasons. 22 points combined make the OPP position the best scorer for the US.
