China NT 2022

According to the rumor, the main line-up of VNL 2022 will be:

(the debut year of the senior NT)

OH - Li Ying-ying (2018-), Wang Yun-lu (2015-)

MB - Yuan Xin-yue (2014-), Wang Yuan-yuan (2016-)

S - Diao Lin-yu (2017-)

OP - Gong Xiang-yu (2016-)

L - Ni Fei-fan (2019-)

I think that lineup was mainly a sparring test as seen in the video below at 0:35.

EDIT: On the other side of the net it was,

S: Ding Xia

OPP: Chen Peiyan

OH: Wang Yizhu, Wang Yifan

MB: Yang Hanyu

L: Xu Jianan

Wang Yunlu as the other starting OH is a questionable choice. She has a heavy arm, but is not an efficient attacker and has weak reception. I remember her float serve used to cause the defense a lot of problems, but it can also be very error prone.

Even though Diao Linyu worked under Cai Bin in Jiangsu I still think Ding Xia will be the starting setter. Her veteran experience will be valuable when getting the younger players adjusted at VNL. Between the two in the Chinese League Diao > Ding, but for international stage Ding > Diao.

Hope Yao Di can recover and return for Asian Games/WCH.

Libero I think Ni Feifan and Wang Weiyi will be alternating equally.

The first three players next to her are liberos followed by three setters. The other taller players, middle blockers and outside hitters are on the other end of the lineup (second slide on the post below). But yeah Yuan is a giant!

No.11 is Wang Yi-zhu.

I guess Zhu Ting (No.2) and Zhang Chang-ning (No.9) could return NT in the future but Yao Di (former No.11) ...
