    No more minimal friendly matches (mostly against Bulgaria). Match against Holland, then the tournament in Italy with Poland and Turkey in addition to hosts and then 2 matches against Thailand. Quite a lot matches and all against quality rivals.

    Maybe this is reason why Cirovic is not included, she is in Belgrade already.


    As i say, biggest surprice for me was just 2 setters, i expected one more for testing, like santarelli did with liberos.

    Why was Crncevic never called this summer? she could contribute a lot

    I honestly don't see nedness for Crncevic. Lozo outburst was so valuable for this team, i don't

    think that Crncevic could done better and Lozo is more important future wise with 10 years less than Crncevic. Maybe she could help in some

    games offensively, but i don't see that she can make an significant improvment and boost our final standings. Let alone her 35yo and still unknown retiring plan. One good half of the season, even in Turkey is just

    not enough.


    *To prevent that as an answer, using Crncevic and Lozo as a duo would be such a disaster.

    If only Lazovic was born with better physical predispositions (mainly taller but also more agile). In combination with her fire, leadership and drive, she would be a perfect player for our needs.

    Mihajlovic was injured. But this time she played more than a 3 months without pain so its very promising.


    If not, i am sure they would call some of our good youngsters(Branka Tica probably) before Crncevic.


    In Serbia its not about just one tournament, its all about generation transition so can Serbia always stay competitive. Maybe i need to make one post about new generation of Serbia.

    If you ask me, Lazovic dont need height, she just need pure strength.

    Its Serbian Golden Era over???

    Well, yes and no.


    Yes, golden generation is done, some of them are retired, some passed they prime, some still kicking but yes there is no more Dream Team.


    But Serbia expected this scenario to come eventually and prepared new generation.


    Core of the new era is generation born in 1997.


    I guess you can recognize 6 players from picture bellow + Cirovic (Still not in team but returned in Europe this season to replace Drca in club and will play championship league, so eventually will show up in NT).



    This team won gold at euro u19 2014, only Serbian gold at that age category. Only reason they didn't win world championship next season is because obviously Boskovic was stolen by Senior NT.


    This core team will be helped with few older players (Stevanovic, Pusic, Busa, Drca) and of course few younger players who will continue tradition and catch experience bit by a bit.


    Coach of this team was Marijana Boricic, and surprice but she is now in charge of the new serbian "golden" generation(2002-2004) and she will help them in transition to senior team, and hopefully, they will make big impact after Olympics.

    I must say, while waiting for any news, and scrolling through twitter feeds, it's really becoming difficult to search "Boskovic" because there are now so many non-Serbian accounts with that in their handle that's it just clogging the feed.
