Turkey NT 2022

  • Ok,I think you can start discussions about the staff in 2022:box:I see it like this: Atak: Ebrar, Meryem Setter: Naz, Cansu, Lila MB: Eda, Zehra, Kubra, Yasemin, Karmen OH: Hande, Meliha, Saliha, Tugba, Ilkin , Derya, Melisa Bukmen Libero: Simge, Gizem, Berin yıldırım

  • It's time to say goodbye to Meryem :wavy:

I would give Yağmur karaoğlu or Pelin Eroktay a chance:box:

Pelin is just bad. She doesn't get much playing time in Sarıyer and when she gets she can't kill the ball. I'm not sure about Yağmur. She doesn't play in Italy due injury but I like her. If she performs good in Italy we can try her. Tutku should get a chance as well.

Right about Tutku👍I think it's actually time to say goodbye to Meryem:wavy:Lila as setter is very talented and we'll see if she gets a chance:box:I still can't understand why Gizem Örge doesn't play in the squad with Simge ~ it is clear that Simge is our No. 1 but Gizem should definitely be No. 2 and not Ayca:what:

  • I don't like any of the opposites so I would rather give that spot to an OH who has better potential like Derya or Ilkin. Why do they need an opposite when the pool of opposites is way worse than OHs? Simply Ebrar should work well there and if she does not, then try someone else from the OHs, who deserve to be in the NT more.

I agree! We have a bunch of talented promising OHs, I would prefer them to get a chance instead of a hopeless Opp. Pelin is just tall, that's why she looked successful at youth level but it doesn't work at senior level. She will end up a bad version of Polen🤦 same for Turku Burcu

  • If we took 1 OPP then maybe Derya could play as attacker if needed :box: It seems to me that Mery will play in MS and then he will leave probably 🤔I hope that Eda will play until 40 like Maja:rose:

  • After this tournament I'm pretty sure Cansu and Buse will be the setters, I think they complement each other very well! Lila might get a call for 3rd setter.

  • I just want to put it out there. Naz should leave FB. I feel like the environment isnt good for her. I hope THY can snatch her. So they can put money on other positions without worring about foreign rule. I know she isnt at her best atm but Naz is still Naz

I was thinking exact same thing during this tournament! I think she had really good moments. But terzic is ruining her. We can't see 'her magic'. Probably terzic is forcing her for this boring Russian setter game of only 2 wing attackers. And he also doesn't trust Naz much, which is something new for Naz since she was a starter almost always since she was 15 years old (she was fofao's backup but even then she was starting to a lot of games

THY can not challenge top3 teams without getting NT level local players. Having a foreign setter is just a big luxury and it only makes sense when a team has a strong local opp. So it was working when Ebrar there but now they need to switch to a local settee

  • I agree that Naz-THY deal will be best for both. With that THY will at least have Asli+Naz as solid local players, which makes a big difference. Question is, will they be able to build a good team next season when Turkish economy is falling apart?

When it comes to Naz, I know she is very well educated and trying to be a role model as an athlete mom but so far what I see is she is becoming more of a mom than a succesful athlete. She needs to remember that when she is at work, she should just focus on her work and profession, not what her son will wear during her matches, how he will enter the hall after the match and celebrate with them etc.

  • Or she could move abroad. I would love to see her in Italy. But I guess she wouldnt want that bcz of family

Don't think this will happen unless she thinks it is very good for Pamir (her son) and this is exactly the problem with her. If she wants to remain at the top as a setter, she needs to care about her profession when it is time for it. Noone cares of what she does in her free time. But it is just choices and choices and she seems to enjoy blending her mom duties with her work a lot which in my opinion is not a good professional.

  • I like Buse’s game based on the recently concluded WCCh. I think she is fearless. Her connection to Eda is good. Sometimes her set ti the OH a bit inconsistent but she knows where the hot hand is.

I enjoy watching Sariyer’s games mostly because Ajcharaporn but Lila is actually talented but often inconsistent too.

I don’t know about that young Ecza setter. Gonna watch and rewatch their games.
