Cazaute was very good (as usual). Gicquel and Sylves too.
Passing needs to be more consistent (mostly just Rotar).... Setting will always be a weak point imo. Same with the second middle. someone needs to step up.

Dutch NT will play a friendly against Belgium today at 16:00 local time. Link
Compared to last week, Dijkema and Bongaerts are changed for Van Aalen () and Klein Lankhorst, and Lohuis instead of Korevaar.
Still no Knip, I'm wondering what the plan is with her this summer. She could have at least replaced Schoot for this unofficial match
-
I hope Savelkoel will play in German league next season, she plays really well in the friendly matches! In fact I think she's doing much better than M.Jasper right now (and I still can't understand why H.Jasper wasn't even invited ).

This seems the be the roster for the 1st week:
S: Bongaerts, Van Aalen
OPP: Plak, Dambrink
OH, Savelkoel, Jasper, Knollema, Vos,
MB: Lohuis, Timmerman, De Zwart, Baijens
L: Schoot, Reesink

Who is the youngest in the roster?
Knollema and Dambrink are both from 2003. Knollema is already 19 and Dambrink will be 19 at the end of June.

NEVOBO.NL has not posted a word about the Women Team heading for VNL week 1 till now.

Dijkema will be there from week 2 on. Daalderop and Buijs are getting back in shape after a long club season and will join later. Grothues will skip the first part of summer. Korevaar still recovering from her ankle injury. No word about Knip or other players that are training with the team / on the longlist.

Grothues is 90% sure she will quit NT... She will have contact with Selinger halfway in July to decide if she will be available for WCH. She considered saying goodbye to volleyball after WCH, but she still love the game and want to continue playing for a club.
Now I really don't understand to absence of Hester Jasper

Two interviews with Laura Dijkema (I think auto translate works)

So frustrated with Selinger.
Every other team is rotating their starting lineup and giving everyone experience.
Meanwhile NL goes 0-5 with the same starter players every match.
It is indefensible to have Baijens on bench permanently. She should have at least started a match. Also van Aalen and Dijkema should at least play a match as starter instead of double sub only.
Grothues/Daalderop seem best OH lineup but I won't blame Grothues for not bothering to join.

I wasn't able to watch a lot of volleyball lately, but from what I've seen the setter position seems problematic for Dutch NT! Normally I like Bongaerts, but she seems like a complete other player She used to play at a fast tempo, but all she does know is playing high balls. I wonder if it's a tactic of Selinger, because Dijkema is doing completely the same thing when she enters the court...
Also I wonder what Selinger will do with the fourth middle blocker spot during WCH Timmerman and Lohuis seem to be his regular starters. I don't think it's necessary to play all matches with this duo. I would really like to see what Baijens is capable of! Also I'm curious if we will see Polder in the last week of VNL. She hasn't been in NT for some years, but had a great season in France. If Polder won't get a chance, Selinger should take only 3 middle blockers to WCH. Korevaar and de Zwart won't have any impact and since Dambrink isn't showing a good level and Plak is injury prone, a fifth outside hitter won't be a bad idea!

Lonnyyyyyy
I missed her so much. Even until now I was hoping what she will change her mind and will return in volley again but the most important thing is to be happy.
I wish her the BEST

Such a sweetheart
I hope she will commentate on Dutch television during WCH!
