Transfer Rumors & Discussion (2022/2023)

  • Thai fans are saying Pornpun shared on a livestream that she received offers from Novara and Sariyer, but she decided on Rapid.

Due to low salary from Novara and possibly foreigner limit on Sariyer (which already has 2 other Thai players on the roster).

I wonder why... I don't think she'll be guaranteed starting setter on Rapid either

But their new coach is from the same agency as Pornpun so it's possible

  • Oh I wish she accepted Sarıyer'e offer;(

Ajcharaporn is playing poor lately, they could play with a Turkish OH next to Chatchu-On and let Pornpun set

  • The question is if Romanian clubs will eventually keep their promises. I remember the German players who played in Romanian clubs some years ago were quite unhappy there, for example they had to organise and pay for their own physio and in general the conditions were not great.

I've heard the same about polish players who decided to play in Romania few years ago. None of them were happy with the team. The teams offered them better money, but the overall organization wasn't good.

  • Italy broke or Romania on a rise. They are trying to sneeze opportunity to squeeze in top4 leagues. :)

Italian clubs don't offer as much money as top turkish teams for international players. Wołosz said multiple times that if she would care about money, she would never pick the offer from Conegliano.

  • Washington or Belien will be the odd one out.

Washington's barely played as it is... Alberti has seen a lot of court time. Belien has been pretty average, if not poor anyways.

They have no choice but to play with Alberti if they want to start with Antropova instead of Mingardi. Just never understand Barbolini’s choice why Washington has always been the one on bench whenever he had to start with Alberti. But it’s typical Barbolini anyway. Just like Lubian often being put on bench last season for… Bia… and how well Lubian has been doing in Imoco after escaping from his hands:whistle:

  • This is Poland now ^^ Romania seems on a rise.

The main difference is that romanian teams don't care how many foreigners they have in the team. Teams in Poland can have only 3 foreigners on the court. That means that at least 80% of team roster must be built with polish players... And that is why they have to overpay polish players.

This is also why many polish players decided not to compete in any different league. They can earn good money (like average salary here x2) even playing in polish third division, which is even hard to be considered semi-pro.

  • As much as I like her as a setter & player, her choice of her club career is… interesting. Like her decision to return to play in the Indonesian league last season was kind of a waste of time.

I mean few polish teams that didnt have money to pay their players, legionovo and you mentioned few more names.

This year it is only Legionovia. I didn't hear that other teams don't pay their players.

I guess that the bottom-ranked romanian teams also don't have good amount of money to sign international players. Unfortunately, every league has teams with financial problems from times to times, even italian (Caserta) or turkish league (Besiktas).

  • As far as I know, Sariyer contacted her but she already accepted Rapid’s offer.

I read from Thai fans who said it was due to the limit of foreigners from the same country (max 2), since Chatchuon and Ajcharaporn were already both on Sariyer

I forgot if that rule was for Turkey or Italy league though

there is no such rule here in Turkey and Italy lifted that rule as well. As I said, she already accepted Rapid’s offer by the time Sariyer contacted her.

I have also heard this about the Romanian league. Sometimes, money isn't the best reason to sign with a club.

  • I dont remember Busa/Ezca, i remember when we talked Busa in Fakif as fantasy transfer.

But Busa is another level above Gorecka or any Ecza OH.

Comparing Lazovic to Meliha and Derya is provocation :P

Busa better than Hande?😂😂😂 Good joke, do another one:roll:

She had only a few good games in the beginning of season against weakest teams of the league and then quite mediocre recently. Stop trying to make Busa narrative happen. She is a useful player in certain team setting but definitely not in caliber of top teams in Turkish league. You are extremely biased against Serbian players' level anyways. Very crovolley vibes

I'll throw my two cents into this drama:lol:

Both Busa and Hande are comparable players but Vakıfbank needs a second version of MBH because as we can see Gabi and Egonu are definitely not enough

Maybe it's strange what I will write but Nika and Bajema are unsuccessful transfers for me, they are too uneven and very shaky in all elements

Can someone explain Zehra to me? She doesn't play the worst game and has very high block stats, but I don't like her game despite her position in the block counts (weird reasoning xd)

I think Aleksic would be a great fit for Vakıfbank :rose:
