According to volleyball.it, Vital Heynen is the new coach of German women NT

Honestly?!
Did he ever train a female team? I just can't imagine that...
I mean the German NT is so young and in my eyes they need quite a calm and supportive trainer...such as Waibl or also many others....but Heynen??
He was coaching Belgian women's beach volleyball couples, but that's all. I'm curious about him with working with women. Anyway he is a good coach and it is a good choice IMO but it could be risky. Anyway it's an upgrade for German NT and good luck.
Heynen said that DVF approached him but as of now he and them didn't agree on anything. Probably it is one of the options that they are considering.

Good, that leaves some hope. Usually volleyball.it is very well informed, but apart from them I haven't found any other source reporting it.
Vital Heynen indeed is the new coach.

OMG Wow. I didn't expect that.
The competition among European teams in the Paris cycle is getting really interesting, can’t wait for the NT season!

It is not confimation at all. The source is the same: volleyball.it Let's wait for official confirmation from DVV.
Oh...ok...sorry. The sentence with the source was not in the article when I posted it...
It's getting pathetic before it even really starts
volleyball.de reports that upon request, Heynen told them that the negotiations are still going on and nothing is signed yet.
volleyball.it reports that Heynen yesterday already called some NT players to inform them that he's the new NT coach and to talk with them about their plans, and a few hours later somebody from DVV called the same girls to tell them that Heynen's calls came a bit early and nothing is signed yet
Now Heynen is official He signed a 3 year contract.

Good luck
F in the chat for German NT
He claims (with some irony, I hope) that having three teenage daughters plus some experience with Belgian beach volleyball women is enough to take over a female team According to the press release, Janiska and Lippmann are happy about the decision, but then DVV certainly would not write anything else
I'm definitely NOT happy, especially when Alex Waibl was also in the mix Heynen may have a good knowledge about volleyball, but his behavior during matches annoys the hell out of me and I seriously doubt he'll be able to create a good connection with the girls who are used to Koslowski's supportive attitude over the last years.

I had the same until he started to coach Polish NT. After that I understood that his behavior is kind of advantage if his team is prepared for this behavior. Your players know he is crazy, so they ignore him while he is irritating opponents and everyone around except you
Germany will participate in Universiade 2022 with U23 NT coached by Nicki Neubauer (NT assistant coach under Koslowski). This means Alex Waibl is no longer coach of the U23 NT, I wonder if he'll be part of the staff of main NT or completely out.

Personally, I find it difficult to imagine that Alexander Waibl is now moving into the second row, after he wanted the head coaching position quite offensively.
But without question, it would be a very heavy loss for the federation if Alexander is no longer active.
Don't know if it's really necessary with Janiska, Alsmeier, Orthmann and Stigrot as outside hitters, but do you think Heynen could convince Emonts to join German NT this summer? She is having such a good season in Potsdam this year, she would deserve a call!
