Yes, they will play challenger.
Also FIVB doesn't allow medial medical transfer in VNL roster. After Huber's serious injury Polish Federation asked for a one roster change but FIVB refused. Sad approach.

I thought Turkey would have a chance to win Challenger Cup and play in year's VNL but Cuba is coming in with full force.
They should win Challenger Cup easily.

I actually thought Simon was gonna be in it too. Yant-Lopez-Sanchez trio is really good.

He's there (the last row of players is cut off the pic here, you need to open it on twitter)

I thought Shaw has retired but I see him in the roster for the first week as setter. Hasn’t he converted to OPP before his retirement?

he's back and playing setter for the USA
with Kawika Shoji's retirement USA needs some setter depth...and it's also a bit of a political choice bc Shaw's family is very influential in American volleyball

I had no idea. Who are they? Part of the federation? I find it a bit weird when someone comes out of retirement directly to the main roster. He wasn’t even good when he played to be honest.

his father was the head coach of Stanford University's mens program for a really, really long time. legendary. I think he also played. idk if they have direct ties to the federation but they are heavily involved in the community and when he wants something you listen.
who knows what kind of shape he's in after retirement...I'm not anticipating much from him.

No. He changed his position from Opposite to Setter.

OK. I thought it vice versa. Thank you. I wish him and the team the best regardless. Minus Speraw. I don’t know how he gets to keep his job after all those underachievements and failures.
-
Too lazy to write or post a link.. Argentina's roster for the first week is everyone important except De Cecco and Conte, as usual in first few VNL games.
Surprisingly Mendez excluded his son from this roster (good news). The main young player I'm looking forward to watch is Manuel Armoa (OH), he looked great yesterday in a friendly with Netherlands in what was his international debut.

Where is everyone finding these rosters?
-
anyone know Slovenia's 14 players?

I believe this is Brazil, not Istanbul.
they missed the flight from Sao Paulo to Brasilia (apparently some mistakes from the Turkish airline)
