They may not, but perhaps Slovenia will peak on target event (WCH) and not in VNL/ECH calibre of event. The thing is they're in very mediocre shape, but also have old roster (Vincic, Pajenk, Urnaut) with substantial absences (Cebulj, Stern, Kovacic), so it's hard to expect last year's VNL from them when they didn't have Olympics, so they played with starting lineup throughout the event.

The only real negative is Slovenia should do anything they can to be in front of Serbia in world ranking and they've already lost some points, it may be very important from Olympic qualies' perspective to be the first European team in a ranking besides France/Poland/Russia/Italy.

That being said, the main goal for Lebedew should be making some damage on September.

That's not men's format for WCH. Men's WCH only have one Pool stage. Teams which don't rank top 2 in their pool play 3 matches and go home.

From the last week experience, Sat is the most attended date. Sun will be less. So I might expect less.

USA got lucky pulling that 3rd set.

This Bulgarian crowd is lively, I wonder if the same energy will be brought for the women's matches.

The weekly breaks this VNL are actually good for the players. But to have 4 games a week is just gruelling especially to teams who dont have deep benches. I know the coaching staff are partly to be blamed but FIVB should have thought about this. I noticed USA men's national team have games 1:00am and 9:30pm in my local time twice this week. Thats not even a full day of rest.
