it's more likely for it to be too hot than cold honestly lol, there's like 35 degrees there today
In Verona, 35° are expected in the evening during the day and, at match time, there should be at least 10 less, with very low relative humidity...
Not optimal conditions, but certainly comfortable enough...
Of course in Italy, we still remember when the semifinal of the 2020 women's Italian Super Cup in september, between Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio and Igor Gorgonzola Novara, was suspended during the third set, because the field set up outdoors in Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza had become a real trap for the players on the pitch due to the humidity....
The heat accumulated during the day and the humidity in the evening had transformed the field into an ice rink...
The event which, in the intentions of the Women's Serie A Volleyball League, was supposed to relaunch volleyball in a big way after the stop due to the COVID pandemic, turned into a heavy (and expensive) boomerang...
I think is very bad idea

Hopefully, it won't be as dangerous as the supercup they did 2 years ago.

Czech team will most likely meet POL or SRB in 1/8 final, so how on earth are they supposed to fight for medals?

They can proudly say that they were only kicked out by the finalist…

Come on there are only 4 teams likely to fight for medals: turkey, Serbia, Poland, Italy. It would a big surprise if Netherlands or Germany would get a bronze medal other than these four teams
Czech team with Havelkova and Havlickova in their best form will be not enough for medal, how on earth they could win medal with Orvosova or Mlejnkova

Depending on what kind of shape AZE and Sweden are in, Czech team might even have a hard time surviving the preliminaries. AZE seem to have most of their experienced players there and if Haak has a 40 point game also Sweden could beat CZE...

France has no realistic chance either. Their roster is limited, except for Cazaute I do not see any standout players in the squad, and they over-achieved in the Challenge Cup thanks to their home court advantage. In case Ukraine and Sweden would have played at home instead of France, the outcomes of the tournament could have been different. It is not rare to see teams losing 3-0 at away and then win easily 3-0 at home in CL and so on. Hence I consider France to be overrated now in case some people consider them as medal contenders.

what if it rains
what if it rains
It is nothing new to play professional volleyball on an outside court. It happens all the time in countries in Africa and South America. In case it rains they almost always postpone the game, of course. I have never seen a game being played in rain on an outside court.
Sometimes, as in tennis on, for instance, Wimbledon courts, they have the option to put on a roof to cover the venue from rain, but I would be very surprised in case this option did exist here.
