Yes, two turkish staff members still didn't received visa
-
and then there's Bosetti with her time will tell Insta story. this Eurovolley does not disappoint. lots of drama to go around
-
volleyball.it posted all 14 player rosters of Italy's pool. Croatia is without Laura Milos, anybody knows why? She was still there in Challenger Cup Fabris isn't there either but that's not so surprising. And against the trend of bringing only 3 MBs, Ferhat decided to bring 5

I'm surprised that Belgium is 6th favorite with Germany. I don't see their chances so high. I think France, Sweden and Ukraine are better team than Belgium currently

As a certain hint: This problem is actually not that surprising for me, because the Turkish assistant coach committed by VfB Suhl has also not a visa so far (as of August 7th, 2023). I don't think anything has changed in the last eight days, at least there hasn't been a welcome post on Insta by VfB Suhl yet.

The values here are on Turkey and Poland, imo. Serbia has a 40 year old setter, although still very great its questionable how Ognjenovic's body will deal with a long and physically demanding tournament such as ECH, and they have also declined on other positions, being without Milena Rasic and Brankica Mihajlovic, who were obviously outstanding players in their prime. Moreover, Serbia has already won several times in the past with Boskovic, and I think the motivation-factor plays into the hands of Poland and Turkey. The fact that Italy has won already and all their drama, although nothing new in Italy, wont favour them of course. I think we will see a new champion this time around in relation to the last decade.
With regard to Belgium, I think its due to the fact they will be playing at home and, in case my memory is correct, even will be the hosting nation of the final and semifinal. This gives them a theoretical edge vs Sweden, Ukraine & co.

It's a possibility that poland, serbia and Italy make the semis?I thi k I read that two of them would meet in the qf
Ino the 3 are clear favourites and best teams nowadays
Also I read that netherlands could make it into semis so it would be a clash between formers european champions

I’ve been hearing this same story since 2019…
It’s more like wishful thinking then analysis

I thought Herbots decided to boycot the NT with her bff coach?

The boycott was a really pathetic move as it only lasted one game lmao. When she didnt obtain the desired effect from it then she ceased the boycott and opted to return straight away. In poker terminology it would have been called a "bluff" but it didnt succeed as the higher ups in the Belgian federation obviously called it.

well, them losing their VNL spot is probably a "serves you right" line from her.
