Germany - VBL 1. Bundesliga 2022/23

  • I was bored and as transfer news and rumours have started, I decided it's time for a new thread

    Teams:

    1. Allianz MTV Stuttgart - Champions League

    2. SC Potsdam - Champions League

    3. Dresdner SC - CEV Cup

    4. SSC Palmberg Schwerin - CEV Cup

    5. VfB Suhl Lotto Thüringen- Challenge Cup

    6. Ladies in Black Aachen

    7. VC Wiesbaden

    8. Rote Raben Vilsbiburg

    9. USC Münster

    10. Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt

    11. Nawaro Straubing

    12. VC Neuwied 77

Not sure if Suhl will play Challenge Cup or if Potsdam can manage Champions League money-wise (although it would be a shame now that Germany got two slots in CL)

It could still be possible that another team from 2nd league might join.

  • Nawaro Straubing will start the season with a coaching duo, as they write themself. These are Lukasz Przybylak and the previous Nawaro assistant coach Bernhard Prem. Lukasz Przybylak was already assistant coach of the Roten Raben Vilsbiburg under Timothy Lippuner and coached the second team of Vilsbiburg this season, where he was also able to fall back on his wife Daria Przybylak after the birth of their first child.

  • I can't imagine Stuttgart either. Dresden would make a lot more sense for me. Because both Stork and Kicka will probably leave the team, Rica can be further developed there, which Alex Waibl is very good at.

I think she is originally from Dresden's youth. But Dresden already signed Lara Berger and I don't see either Berger or Maase as first OPP in Dresden. I would expect someone else as starter.
