From the photos that took during training, I think Pimpichaya will be OP.
-
I heard from a Japanese friend that this will be Jaja’s last outing for Philippine team as she will get naturalized to play for Japan. That is her only way to play the Olympics.
Vietnam and Indonesia seems stronger this year. -

Ajcharaporn - Chatchuon - Pimpichaya is the way to go!
-
is there a reason why Kalei Mau isn't on the team for the Philippines?
-
After watching the first 2 matches, it looks like Thailand is gonna take their 15th gold medal again . IND was so lost without Managang while both PH and VN’s receiving systems were all over the place.
MIP of the day are IND and VN Ops.
I dont get the hype about Jaja. She played like a taller version of Nana Iwasaka and didn’t show anything special to me oh the match against Malaysia. -

No news other than the NT saying they begged off, I think. Those press releases are often not true though
QuoteThe Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) has dropped Jia Morado-De Guzman, Kianna Dy, Kalei Mau, Jasmine Nabor, and Dindin Santiago-Manabat from the 2022 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games roster after the group declined their invitations to the national team.

I like Nana Iwasaka ... but "OUCH" anyway
-
Agreed. Jaja is tall and that’s about it. Her movement is slow and can be all over the place. I think once she has to play against Thailand’s fast offense, then we will see her true level.
-
Jaja was 10/14 with 5 blocks , btw

Against Malaysia 😂

Against Malaysia 😂
point taken, but (and I'm not saying she's "great") but she won the blocking title this year in Japan, beating Foluke, Hattaya, and Thatdao Japan are not actually slow pokes in offense. And Jaja was 4th best in Kill%. She's tall. That helps, but so are those others
I don't think her or PHI in general is going to have a chance against Thailand but we don't have to wait for that to form a reasonable opinion about her skill level. She really has been improving throughout her time in Japan
