  • This cup is really a joke, none of the good teams want to join.

It is because there is a rule that each country can have maximum 5 teams in european cups. That means the best teams are aiming for Champions League and CEV Cup.

And it is not like 'nobody wants to join' challenge cup. If I am not mistaken, this year we have a record regarding the number of teams willing to compete. The biggest problem here is the money. Teams participating in CEV or Challenge Cup are spending way more money than winning from competition.

Turkey has always been joining with 6 teams thanks to BVA cup. Italian teams didn't participate to this tournament for many years due to low level and bad ratio of cost/benefit.

  • WEVZA Cup started yesterday with victories of Cannes and Chieri, and there's no doubt they will meet in the final. Münster could take only 9 players due to injuries and illnesses and their backup OPP has to play as MB because of this :white:

  • This extra tournament was just useless. They played during the WCH (which means zero appeal), clubs didn't show big interest in being involved and some teams are already dealing with injuries in the pre-season. :white: It will end like it did with the men's version... cancelled from the schedule. :gone:

  • Interesting match coming up this week.

Tent Obrenovac vs Rapid Bucurest 23.11.2022 18:00

    Starting lineups:

    Tent:

    OPP: Milica Vidacic

    OH 1: Mina Mijatovic

    OH 2: Jovana Cvetkovic

    MB 1: Ana Malesevic

    MB 2: Natasa Cikuc(Hena Kurtagic)

    S: Nina Mandovic

    L: Bojana Gocanin

    Rapid:

    OPP: Ioana-Maria Baciu

    OH 1: Cesé Montalvo

    OH 2: Alexandra Trica

    MB 1: Nasya Dimitrova

    MB 2: Jennifer Cross

    S: Da-Yeong Lee

    L: Teodora Pusic

Rapid is favorite on paper, biggest strength of Tent is their attacking middles, but Rapid with Nasya Dimitrova kinda overpowered them in this position. But if Tent serve good and avoid Dimitrova, anything can happen.

Rapid will probably win, but i expect very competitive game.

    ______

All other games will probably be one sided. I expect easy wins for Chieri, Ptt, Ub, Legionowo, Viesti...

Easy win for Legionowo? It's not going to happen. They have the worst roster in polish league and lost every game so far 0-3. I would bet Legionovia will lose it 0-3.
