Li Ying-ying had a rest in Set 3. Tianjin vs Hebei was just more intense.

Hebei 18:17 Tianjin in set 3 😂
finally something exciting!
but still very disappointed in Chen Peiyan - she really should have a quicker arm and also better VB IQ… At this state she should just retire because even domestically she is doing very poorly. Guangdong look like they only have 一点攻 -

Wang Yizhu has problems receiving, but as expected Tianjin 3-0

same, I thought it would be a bit more competitive. Chen Peiyan is completely ineffective on court. To be fair she isn’t set often, but when she’s given the opportunity she still is very mediocre. If this is the best OPP we have after Gong… Bad news for Chinese volleyball.
WYL and JY (shockingly) look like a class above Li Yao, and WYF, and we know how average they are on an international level 😂
I think Zhou Yetong and Wang Yindi are both more reliable than Chen PY as OPs and they are a few years younger as well. There may be others as well, let’s see how the league goes....

Did Dajana get injured? I noticed Liu Xin playing mostly in the highlights, but maybe she was brought in for passing?

I feel like Chen Peiyan succumbed to the poor coaching in Guangdong. These past couple seasons they've had a different coach each year. Had she been on a better team she could've progressed faster. I just hope Wang Yifan doesn't fall for this trap and continues to improve despite being on a low level team.

Did Xie Shengyu (2004) beat Mei Xiaohan and Cai yaqian for the starting spot in Shandong?
I'm most excited to Shandong this season. Hoping Rabadzhieva will be steady throughout the season. I'm not familiar with Cleger, but if she can contribute solid offense they could be in the Top 4 imo. They have big middles in Yang Hanyu and Guo Huizhen and they already have the best libero in the league with Wang Mengjie.
Xie Shengyu's setting was so bad today. I think An Jiajie left her in longer than normal hoping she would clean up her errors, but eventually he replaced her with Mei Xiaohan.
