Zhou Yetong with back to back monster kills
Chinese Female Superleague 2022/2023 (with 2022 Chinese National Championship)

3 kills

I feel for the Jiangsu girls. Well hard fight which could've gone either way.

Wu Mengjie and Zhou Yetong for VNL 2023!!!
-
It was mighty close but Zhou’s fine performance was not enough to carry the team....and it wasn’t unexpected that Shenzhen won, they had more experienced players and had been playing well as a team !
Good luck to Shenzhen in the semis and to Jiangsu’s youthful squad...keep improving and growing

what's unexpected was how close this game and yesterdays was. This young Jiangsu squad was going head to head against what technically is an all foreign team. I don't think any other all Chinese class team would be able to replicate the tough fight Jiangsu put out.
Rooting for Shanghai against Shenzhen

Shenzen

The match was delayed...it started 2 hours later, maybe around 8am Serbian time. I myself missed the entire first set due to the rescheduling

still to far from our "watching" zone

we don't know if Xue Yizhi wants to be on the NT yet. my vote is 2 of Gao Yi, Xue Yizhi, Zheng Yixin. Should have a bit of a more mobile middle for tactical changes.
Also Zheng Yixin used to play beach (with great abs or so i've heard) so she should in theory have a good jump.
Mira Musulin will come with at least 2 or 3 players back in Serbia.
I would like to see captain Xue here, but sadly paperwork's are too messy for asian players and need much more money than other players. License for asian player is twice as for a player from north America.

Ok i will request CVA to start the semis at 3am Beijing time, around 8-9pm in Europe....would that be better?
Only problem is it'll get even colder at that hour...the players will be frozen ❄

Shenzhen was one set away from losing the quarterfinals series.

Now would be a good time for her to experience the level abroad, but maybe Tianjin doesn't want to let her go.

Happy New Year, everyone!
