Japan - V.League V1 (Division 1, Women) 2022-2023

  • Hitachi is so money the way they chose to politely win Set 2 :super:

Kurobe on the other hand needs to be careful we don't start calling them Kurobe again, but their libero is entertaining

  • Kurobe got one set back. Come on kids. Let's do it again :super:

Hitomi Fukumoto is Kurobe's libero. She's been dazzling :rose:

  • Somebody get me a drink :cheesy: Kurobe makes it a Tie Breaker :super:

Denso / Hitachi Tie Break too :box: Match has been a banger

  • I'm dead

  • This Hitachi Denso match is absurdly great :box: If you can tune in, watch the play at 10–9

    Denso 12–10 Hitachi

  • Nong Beem takes 2 sets to warm up, after that it's hard to stop her

She's unshakeable. And she does stuff like swings madly at an OOS ball in a Tie Break and kills it. That's worth more than 1 point :rose:

  • no.7 Thatdao was doing ok for JT earlier, but they replaced her...why?

Just tuned in to that one

People don't talk much about Yukiko Wada. She's 12/21 so far tonight, hitting over 50% on the season. She's been quietly kicking ass, when she gets the chance, for about a year now

  • It's like PFU didn't get the memo that the season has started :aww:

Saitama is making this out the gate run without Lozo, Uchiseto, Yoshino (she did get a little court time in set 1) , Yamanaka (although cracking the Jaja/Kyoko MB rack will be hard), not to mention the fabulous Mako Shiina ... and Saitama has a couple very promising kids in the bank. Damn, they're deep

This being Jaja's last season with Saitama, there will be a sure slot for a middle from the team's deep stable next season. Shiina used to be promising but I observed she has not improved much. But with her height and relative youth, I am very much rooting for her.

  • I don't like that these Kurobe wins feel like they need an asterisk because they were against Himeji  but whatever

Plak was having a really good game but, as par usual, runs out of gas when the tie breaks roll around. Pimpichaya starts getting her second wind. They both had good help, too. Magota on Himeji was bruising it, getting a little sassy, with 21/48 and 5 blocks. Kurobe MB Maki Yamaguchi went certifiably insane for a couple sets and ended with12/23 and 4 blocks

Once again they had to ditch Tugba to get the job done. That can't be playing well inside her head

Big love to Hitomi Fukumoto, Kurobe's libero

It's a shame that these two tie breakers were on at the same time. The Hitachi Denso match was a battle. Osanai starting digging balls with her face. Next level stuff

  • Setter who just came in for Toray is the 9-Ball girl Kurumi Manabe

    Jaja's last year?
