Japan - V.League V1 (Division 1, Women) 2022-2023

  • That's next level stupid for sure but tame and far from porn material. That's probably why they thought they could use a past NT jersey. Why is she even posed like that if the whole point of cutting up the jersey was to show her bra? So cringe

shes a pornstar it doesn't matter if she's nude or wrapped in a bedsheet the whole point of the photoshoot is to show some sort of fetish behind it making it automatically porn material

Is she straight up a pornstar or just a jav idol because those 2 are very different. That's like saying that all models that do lingerie are automatically pornstars obviously not. While I do get that the use of the jersey is illegal, the concept itself is tame albeit very stupid.

its in the caption "Outrage over a Japanese pornstar"

You must be mistaking AV idols for Gravure idols. AV means Adult Video so yes they are in fact "porn stars"

  • How is Sara Lozo doing this season? I saw a few videos and it seemed that she fit the squad quite nicely.. Can anyone who watches league regularly give me some thoughts on her performance? ^^

She's doing well under Ageo's new coach. Bonded right away with the girls but had a bit of trouble adjusting to their setter during the first or end of first to 2nd leg. I think most Serbia fans are expecting her reception to improve in Japan but 1 season is not enough to do wonders in that area.

She didn't play a lot in the first half of the season for unknown reasons. Took a while to ramp up and was more error prone until she found the rhythm of things. She fits in nicely now, vibing along with the team and their winning ways. Saitama has a track record of stepping on the gas as the season closes out, so it's great that Sara has gotten her groove. Her best contributions are a pretty deadly back attack, some good blocking, and a fairly intimidating serve. She's not great in passing and defense, but also not the liability that many imports can be

Well kinda, just a little bit, Japan is famous for their floor defense afterall^^

Not a liability is something I expect of her to be in a NT as well, and it should be enough if she could be okay passer with a bit of cover, but not type of OH that needs full cover. She is more of an attacker, thanksfor the insight :S

  • Derya to Kurobe could just be a repeat of Tugba but if Springs signs her at least their rookies will have to work twice as hard and not depend on the foreign player. Isn't that what NT fans want?

Samantha Bricio will probably end up in Toyota or Ageo.

  • As far as I know Derya isn't a Shining Stars player. She is signed with another agency called Penivo.

She could still go there but I don't think Shining Stars visit is for her.

That's cool. SAGA and Derya would not be a good fit (if I understood that thread), but I would welcome her with open arms to Kurobe or Toyota

  • Btw according to this article https://www.nishinippon.co.jp/nsp/item/n/1065612/

Van Hecke was in poor condition during the match against Victorina. I don't usually trust Saga when they throw around that vague term. It could be anywhere from "having a bad day" to "needs more conditioning" to "because Sakai said so" I'm inclined to think it's the last one for obvious homegame reasons.

Ah yes, this is SAGA's final Kobe Home Game weekend ... and then they say goodbye to Kobe

Tonight they are also hosting the match between Shujitsu HS and Kinrankai, which Fuji TV is going to broadcast. Nice gesture to the Shujitsu kids who got kerfuffled out of competing for a third straight Championship Title

So I never paid attention to venues but are teams only allowed to have 1 venue to host all their HGs?

There is no "allowed" restriction ... there was just that part of the new V.League vision about moving to "community based" teams, and that teams would all have a home venue they could put butts in

There's complete Fake Home games like JT or Saitama being the home team at Ota Ward (NEC's Arena) and semi-fake home games like Denso homing in Sapporo because they have a "agreement". Most teams have those agreements as a way to bring fandom to unrepresented areas. I believe SAGA has one with Kanagawa somewhere

SAGA's specific thing with Kobe is that , IIRC , their "Home" was SAGA but their practice facility was in Kobe. With their new Arena in SAGA I presume they are saying goodbye to Kobe

Teams have always played "neutral" site games, but only with the new version of the V.League teams did actually sign agreements with second cities to host some "home" games.
