  • The Brilliant Aries / JA Gifu was my favorite match, V1 or V2, of the weekend. Great stream and no annoying commentators , just the soothing cacophony of girls screaming and the crowd reacting to the plays. Love that rhythm of volleyball

V2 enthusiasts should check it out. I think it will be available for the week and then taken down

Don't know if these V2 girls hit the ball any harder than V1 girls but it sure looks like they are trying to. Both teams have a good setter and a couple pins who can kill the ball (#s1 & 7 on Aries; #s 1 & 5 on Gifu). I'm not sure why it was a lopsided victory, Gifu is a good, if mid level, team

I can't be sure if Brilliant Aries has put their whole Coach kerfuffle behind them, but they do look well coached, enthusiastic and motivated. It will be funny if they play Kurobe again in a Challenge match given that two Brilliant Aries best players left over the summer to join Kurobe

Wanted to see Chiba but GSS never got their youtube going

  • Veertien Mie's first match of the season is tonight. They should really make an effort to stream the games if they want to grow their brand. Seems like they have money (it doesn't cost much) and a pretty well-organized organization. They also have a man version in V2 but I don't know if they are any good or are getting any attention

Hiroshima is their opponent and they are streaming the match on IG, but that's equal to not streaming it

Forest Leaves couldn't get their stream going last night either. They will try again tonight to accomplish something 12 year girls can do from their bedrooms

  • I give Forest Leaves an E for effort , but golly

Looks like a pretty good stream, tho:

Forest Leaves made their stream of last night's match Private  I could have downloaded it and flipped it horizontal. I need some Chiba Angel Cross

The GSS / Gunma match is here. It's not downloadable -- yet. I think it will be. I can't watch replays or catchups on the web streaming. Takes to much time. I need to be able to burn through the down time. Ranna Shiraiwa and Hinano Michishita seem to be doing well enough for Gunma

  • This is Forest Leaves Kumamoto's third year in V.League and they haven't won a match yet. They were granted two victories last year because of Covid default by the opponent, but they haven't actually beaten any one :white:

Sendai wins their first two V.League home games :super: Their only scheduled home games last year were covid canceled

  • Bummer the Brilliant Aries youtube is not a good stream. It's not a home game for them so they must not get a local TV broadcast to grab

Li-Wen Chang has started for BA

    Congratulations Veertien Mie :!:

A few days ago New Team Veertien Mie declared their goal for the season is to win their first Home Game. A modest goal considering their first Home Game is scheduled for March 4th, the last weekend of the season . They just beat the reigning Champions who did lose a few key players over the summer but have enough in stash that it wasn't a major blow

Time will tell if this says more about Brilliant Aries or Veertien Mie

I wish the stream was better and more inviting for a replay. I'll have to sit through it to see more closely what happened

Looks like Brilliant Aries may have canceled their livestream for tonight

The Forest Leaves livestream was pretty good, if a little distant. Shame they make them private right away so you can't re-play

Brilliant Aries with an 0–2 comeback. Something's a little off with them, though

Chiba Angel Cross has a solid 7 this year, good setter, really good libero. Can't explain the losses, but I haven't been able to see them in a good stream

  • Chiba Angel Cross has canceled their matches for this weekend :(

    [Reason for withdrawal from participation]

"From November 22nd to November 23rd, several people related to the team became unwell, and as a result of the test, it was found that they were positive for the new coronavirus"

Doubly sad because they were scheduled to play Brilliant Aries at home, which would have meant a good live stream and replay, likely the only opportunity to see them this year ;( Hope they can re-schedule and broadcast it

  • The other Brilliant Aries Good Stream scheduled for this weekend is against Ligare Sendai

Sendai announced that 4 players tested positive for the new coronavirus infection

Based on the new JVL coronavirus countermeasure guidelines and Sendai City guidelines, the team plans to participate

Sendai and Chiba Angel Cross are the two teams I most want to see this year :(

  • Arisa Sato is of the Sendai players covid positive. Sendai is playing without a libero

    The other three are

    • Mayu Suenaga (Starter. Arisa calls her the ace. She's not but she is a leader and one of their best players)
    • Manami Seiwa (OH sub, Defensive Specialist. She probably would have played libero)
    • Mizuho Komatsu (rarely used backup setter)
