Japan - V.League V2 (Division 2, Women) 2022-2023

  • SF #1:

Yamanashi Chuo Bank Sporting Bears 3–0 Fukuoka Girasol [25−11, 25−20, 25−13]

    SF#2

Kurashiki Ablaze v Artemis Hokkaido is live:

  • Decent Stream for Forest Leaves v Gunma Bank

  • I'm surprised at how good this Forest Leaves team looks. They're playing a nice mix of vets and absolute noobs. They look inspired. They lost the first set to Gunma after having a 4–5 point lead in the first half of it. That happens to youngsters. But they deserve some kudos. They're sticking right with Gunma for the most part

  • Forest Leaves evened it up 1–1 . You go girls :super:

And Artemis Hokkaido beat Kurashiki Ablaze to advance to the Final against the legendary Yamanashi Chuo Bank Sporting Bears

Bronze starts in about half an hour: Kurashiki Ablaze v Fukuoka Girasol

Final will be after that. Nice that Artemis made the Final. The match will be streamed. Unfortunately they make them private as soon as it's over

  • Forest Leaves is playing with so much hustle it's freaking me out . They're about to go up 2–1 if they don't choke (20–15) :super:

  • Choke happens :white:

    too bad :(

  • :box: Tie Break :box:

  • :!::!::!: Forest Leaves :!::!::!: Forest Leaves :!::!::!:

    Win the Tie Break 15–13

    I'm dead :)

  • If anyone wants to see the Legendary Yamanashi Chuo Bank Sporting Bears in action ...

The Final is live on Artemis youtube :

  • There is no score bug for the 6 Person Final. Someone just holds up their iPhone after the set:

I'm pretty sure the Legendary Yamanashi Chuo Bank Sporting Bears are up 2–0 because they won the last point of the set, and they are in blue, but that image confuses me ?(

  • Now I really don't get it. No one held up their iPhone. The Sporting Bears won the last point of whatever set just happened , but they are playing another set

The Sporting Bears are starting this set on the same side as they ended the last one. That suggests it's a Tie Break?

    [edit] yep, tie break

If you don't follow V2 you won't get how wow this is for Forest Leaves, or how humiliating it must be for Gunma Bank. Forest Leaves didn't gain anything by it. They still ended up in 8th place, might've made 7th place if they swept the match. But math

Gunma Bank drops to 3rd place. Not a big deal. They will play Brilliant Aries on March 25 for a shot at the Final (and a shot at the V1/V2 Challenge Match)

  • Prestige squashed Gunma Bank 3–0. That means Prestige gets the Regular Round Title, for what it's worth

Brilliant Aries seems to be peaking around now. I haven't been able to see enough Prestige matches to know the arc of their game

It'll be Brilliant Aries v Gunma in two weeks for the right to fight Prestige for the season Title

I was looking around for something to help me support B Aries against Gunma...maybe something from Ueda City or Nagano...but the only thing I found in my souvenir cabinet was this piece of decorative cloth.....||

Beautiful Mountain Village has a LOT of fight in her
