USA Women's NT 2023

  • What about Logan?

  • USA has too many good OHs, that’s crazy. She was playing CL final as a starter and she is 7th-8th in the line. The worst thing is that Larson will probably go to Paris :gone: She should retire with that gold around her neck and give some chance to other girls. She is a living legend, but not that needed anymore, KRob will do her job.

Yes it is really good for USA that they have a lot of good OH but this thing also have a disanvatage. They are really a lot and they have a few opportunities to show to Kirally what they can do . And Kirally takes the players who are looking in a better shape in these few matches. But there is a trap in that. The fact that someone can play better than an other in two or three matches does not mean that she is a better player . And unfortunately for Bajema I think that she is a player who needs her time . I mean I do not really believe that she is the 7th best OH. In my opinion she i better than this.

As for Larson I think that someone in the foroum said something really apt about how sometimes a legend can hold her team back when she can not offer much things any more and he told it about Maja. I think that this is the right answer here

  • that's tragic for bajema! A starter in vakifbank once of the best club, played alongside some of the best coaches and players and yet she is at the bottom amongst her batch. But it's really hard to tell she is a player who needs time to adjust and play good as the match/league progress just like in vakifbank. Unfortunately, that kind of player isn't what karch is looking for. 😕 after paris, the slot for krob/larson will be available? Or are they planning to play in LA28? Lol

  • Larson doesn't have to make space for anyone. They gotta outplay her and earn their spot.

Bajema was bad in club season, terrible in VNL, and probably outplayed by others in the US gym.

These decisions are made on more than we see. If Larson is killing it in the gym, playing better than other OHs, Karch is correct to take her.

nah. she had 3 medals already. thisis where giving chance to others really apply. she could be like KYK; work in the sidelines.

if they're not better than Jordan in 2023, they shouldnt be there.

Jordan is going to have to earn her spot like everyone else.

Kara wasnt better than the other options this summer.

So as plummer and other OHs. So if larson will be joining who do you think should be out from the current squad? Lol krob, frantti, lanier and skinner. Daaang that's tough Choice. These 4 are actually balance OHs.

I understand it if USA is a dying squad without her (like KYK of Korea). But Krob can do her job and others share the load quite well. The skill gap between Larson and Krob isn't that huge of a difference that warrants Larson's presence to bridge.

She had 3 medals, been to the top; a long career (and still has one). I just think the others deserve chances since the OH position is already over saturated in this team.

    not sure.

I’m sure VNL finals will play a part in it (see Plummer last year)

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Avery

Wasn’t this demonstrated this VNL? Other OHs can deliver play that fits Karch’s system, and numbers that meet his expectations—and at the level to defeat opponents, even if it is in five sets. 😄 Develop these OH players now before they age out and the same issue reoccurs before LA Olympics. :flower::olympia:

LA olympics will be a totally new rosters. I don't see jwo, krob,Haleigh, larson, thompson and drews joining that squad tbh. That's 4yrs gap!

Agree with almost evrything except that Bajema was bad in club season. Sure, her passing is a liability but she made up for it with her attack, serve and sometines blocking. I mean she was instrumental for that 4-0 against Fener in the CL.
