USA Women's NT 2023

  • I really like Hancock. Her jump serve has been consistent until Karch force her to do floats but it is still pretty deadly.

Frantti should also be there as much as I like Skinner. She can be a good serving sub and her backrow attacks are super deadly.

  • I’m happy Carlini made it, although we haven’t seen much of her this VNL. Really surprised to see Plummer there after her disappointing showing in all of the matches she played… I definitely would’ve gone with Frantti. Now knowing their roles I hope they focus and play to their potential. Drews and Robinson are still a question-mark

  • Sorry for Hancock. Karch probably didn't want to say no to Carlini second Olympics in a row😒 carlini had a very mediocre season in Aydin this season. She can't set to middles even if her life depends on it. Hancock could have been a great serving sub although karch is ruining her great serve technique🤦

About skinner/frantti: I'm happy with skinner choice. I think frantti lost her Olympic chance after the game against turkey. Skinner has more potential to grow into a all-around Oh.

I wonder if they did democratic voting as a team this time too😂

About Franttti, totally agree. Small details are important and 2 back to back attack error at the end of the 5th set against Turkey, might have affected Kiraly's preference.

  • I was sure that Frantti will not make it. All the season and now in NVL showed that she cannot play volleyball in the highest level. With Turkey she almost hit negative AGAIN. It it bad because she has the abilities but I do not know what is happening to her.

About Skinner was just a wrong choice. Kirally should give time and choose Lanier. She is clearly better player and she had a good season. For the Olympics it takes a maturity and experience that Skinner doesn't have.

So which OHs should go to the Olympics in your opinion?

    You think Plummer played good?

Well actually it should’ve been Hancock and Carlini.. Poulter still hasn’t recovered, is too slow, her sets are predictable, inconsistent and her defense is non existent

Definitely Skinner. The reason is that, Skinner is far better than Khalia at attack. Reception skills are more or less the same also their blocking performance is more or less, the same. Khalia seems having better reflex and having higher success in digs, when compared with Skinner. Finally, checking Total net points per match from previous tournament, Skinner was more successfull therefore I would prefer Skinner.

  • I thought that Frantti would make the cut. Didn’t expect Carlini after Hancock being the captain last week.

does anyone know who is going to be the 13th player?

That's true, indeed karch played a gamble with both poulter and Drews. He didn't peak players based on their current shape but based on their capacity/potential. So he assumes and hopes both of these will reach their peak in 2 months

Not announced yet, there are 5 players in so called “reserves”: Hancock, Frantti, Hentz, Hall, Lanier

  • But Drews is the only other opposite thag can sub Thompson though

I didnt watch drews recently but Eggleston this season was even better than Thompson, when she played as Opp. It is ridiculous that karch invited cuttino instead of Eggleston who literally benched cuttino during club season. Karch really has his favourites and stick with them😒

+1. Really sick about the fact that Eggleston was not even on the wide roster of VNL.

Yes she should had a chance specially if you thought that he gave time to Maddy Skinner as OPP...
