unpopular opinion:

Eda should be out for the VNL or at least for the first weeks. This summer is very important for Turkey and they need her to perform good in the qualifiers and ECH. She is 35 and last year, at the end of the NT season she was tired, I dont get it why is it so important for her and the NT to start every match in the whole year around.

Not only Eda but Zehra, Cansu, all players from Ecz, Vakif but Turkey is playing at home. Not including Eda or other big names would be disappointing for the crowd.

I hope they will give rest to Eda, Zehra etc in 2nd week or something

Eda and Zehra should absolutely rest, not sure about Cansu-Vargas-Ebrar. I think they should be rested actively, being at bench but still being there. Cansu needs to adapt to this new system with 2 dominant wings and also get used to setting Vargas as opposite and high balls to Ebrar at left. I guess they can all rest at last week of VNL.

Moreover, Neriman hasn't played in NT for many years, she should play as much as possible this summer to get used to playing youngsters. Agree that both Eda and Zehra should have been rested

You're forgetting the factor of Santarelli being the new coach, one who has never worked with either Eda or Zehra. He might want all his best players for his first few games at the helm.

you cant take both ayçin and aslı as backup for eda, you need also someone more physcial.

I want to believe that santarelli wants to win all these matches right away in the first week and test new players in the coming weeks.

And honestly, regardless of that, what reason would explain kubra inside? NONE. She was really bad all season.

Melis, neriman, zeynep, yasemin, aycin and sila deserve to be tested. If tugba comes back, she needs to play too. I don't care that meliha plays, but we'll see how the others perform.

I can give you one, but I can't promise it will be logical.

Her name has been one of the most prominent of those with whom Guidetti supposedly feuded. Since Neriman, another of that group is missing, maybe Santarelli feared to leave Kubra out as well, and that there would be cries: "Here comes the new boss, same as the old boss!"...

Santarelli should work with as many names as possible to see what each player could offer. This isn't the final roster, this is just week 1. Kübra being there doesn't mean Ayçin or Yasemin won't have a chance. I'm sure Santarelli will give chance to everyone on the wide roster.

I think this is because the first round is at home. It would be difficult to leave Eda out. But I assume in the next two rounds, we will see some new names, I believe players like Eda, Zehra, Cansu and maybe Vargas might get some rest because they looked very tired at the end of the season. It might actually be wise to use Ebrar as opposite in one round and Vargas in the other, letting them rest.

When it comes to players like Neriman, Meliha and Kubra, I agree Janko. It was probably too much pressure on Santarelli to include them and at least give them one final summer with the NT. Neriman still can be useful and Kubra too, but there are many alternatives for Meliha, especially Ilkin who received over 800 serves during the season, played always and received with Anthi/Logan-Bihter duo, which were nightmares in serve receive.

What do you mean by physical? Tall? Aycin is as tall as Eda and Aslı showed everyone that being shorter doesn't mean she is a worse blocker or attacker than other tall ones. So I disagree with you on this

What matters is their capacity to slide while picking up a back up for Eda. Aycin is the best slider besides Eda. On the other hand, Aslı is similar player to Zehra. She is shorter but faster than Zehra too.

probably both aycin and Yasemin will play in week 2. It is good that all players in wide roster will get a chance to show Santarelli what they are capable of and he can pick the best for final round.

Ayçin 185 cm, Eda 188 cm and Aslı is 183 cm this rotations would not have enough physicality.

You can watch Fenerbahçe- vakıfbank games from the second part of the season. at that games Vakıfbank attackers usually tried to attack on MBs since they are not taller than pins.

I think santarelli will try other MBs too in the coming weeks but dont like the idea of three short MB in the main roster.

Are you sure aycin is 185? Some sources shows 188 cm for her height and from tv broadcast also she looks same height with Eda🤔 even if they are short, I don't see it as a problem. Both Aycin and Aslı are really good blockers. I prefer both of them instead of for example Zeynep Sude Demirel who is 2 meters tall but not necessarily better blocker than Aycin or Aslı.
