Serbian Women's NT 2023

    God I hate the setter from the Balkan championship a couple weeks ago I don’t wanna watch her anymore lol

    I wanted to answer the second part here in order not to go complitely off-topic in U19 WCH thread:lol:


    Perović did play for senior team on Mediteranean games last year where we got bronze with U22 team basically,

    but not VNL yet (Santarelli included Jaksic and Djordjevic last year as they were older and more experienced, but he didn’t really know any of them.. and this year she got ACL a few weeks before Guidetti got that training session to see younger players)


    She was awarded MVP of Serbian cup 20/21, and played in youth cometition but her generation wasn’t all that good, only Jovana Mirosavljevic got to be somewhat recognized.


    With Zeleznicar she played against Eczacibasi in CEV cup 21/22, she entered as sub for Antonijevic and it was first big game on club level for her and Uzelac at the time. The full game is on youtube so if you are curious you can check :win:

    I have no clue where is Stefana Pakic??? Or Jovana Punisic


    And wtf players like Nadja Cikuc, Sajic, Popovic and Zigic doing there.

    They better be going to WCH U21 with Pakić and Punišić or I’m gonna spam ossrb with messages on every platform :mad::sos:

    Pakić was on preparations, maybe she had some other palans in her life for those few days and Balkan championship isn’t that important for us to need her there


    We will survive Balkan champs with Cikuc.. Tica and Vajagić are more then solid passers and defenders. We need Pakić for WCH, I’m expecting best libero award tbh :whistle::win: I mean it’s no secret I’m big fan of hers

    I've read a lot of praise about Visnja Zigic, I don't know, you know each other better

    The composition is very good in my opinion:)

    It’s more about the fact that some U19 players are put into U21 team which weakens both categories


    Prime example is Baić, born in 2005, she is U19 player and she isn’t gonna play with her category but warm the bench in U21, eventhough even in U21 she is the best option for starter setter.. But we ain’t gonna play younger player. U21 team dropped Tišma (who is by far the best setter in U21) and because of that we got much weaker in both U19 and U21, and above all that we wasting Baić to be bench player when she could dominate her own age category.

    So instead of Tišma for U21 and Baić for U19, we will have Mandović for U21 (as she is older then Baić) and whatever weak setter they chose to go for U19..


    Same thing for Visnja Žigić, she is born in 2006 and her category is U19, while we have Stefana Pakić (2004) who is one of the best liberos in the world for U21 category, and she is missing here.


    They are doing some crappy stuff in order to have players from certain team… khm Tent khm… get time to show themselves in NT while they are not best options. That’s why Baić won’t get playtime and experience she needs, so Mandović and Kričković (TENT players) could be starters in their age categories,

    Eventhough Baić is better then both of them, in my honest opinion


    And yes, Visnja Zigić is solid player, but she should be with her U19 team. Instead she is here only to be weaker younger libero in order to put Cikuc (another TENT player) as sterter

    As Cofi said, Visnja is good but Pakic and Punisic are better and older. I dont understand why Zigic not playing in U19, this is her age group.

    Only Pakic can go to WCH if is roster of 12.


    Balkan championship is not problem at all, he can put Sajic as libero :lol:

    There is no way for Cikuc to start over Zigic :)

    Girls will travel to Italy on Sunday, and will play two friendlies against Italy on Monday and Tuesday (17:30 - without streaming information at this moment).

    As expected.. ^^

    But honestly if I was putting a roster together this is exactly what I would choose right now (maybe Osmajić as second slider, but Popović has insane connection with Maja, and I love Kurtagić)


    The only thing I really wish to see is Uzelac/Lazović double sub for Buša/Lozo when Busa is front row and has bad day in terms of attacking. We ain’t gonna use Bjelica for double sub on S/OPP anyways lol


    Or maybe Jegdić as OH sub for back-row so we can go Uzelac/Lozo, there certainly are combinations to be tried, I hope Guidetti learned what he can expect from each girl so he can rotate accordingly

    We just won u21 Balkan Championship.


    Probably easiest tournament i ever watched. ^^ This is kinda WCH preparations, but we didn't played single game with full roster.


    Minja Osmajic is not in the picture, she returned earlier to Serbia but played 1st match.

    👉 The best outside hitter of the U21 Women Balkan Championship was Una Vajagić from Serbia.


    👉 The best opposite of the U21 Women Balkan Championship was Miray Guzubuyuk from Turkiye.


    👉 The best libero of the U21 Women Balkan Championship was Anxhela Mehmeti from Albania.


    👉 The best fair play player of the U21W Balkan Championship was Amina Halilović from Bosnia and Herzegovina.


    Do you know why she came back early? I thought she was injured since she wasn't there
