This is getting really good now. It means everything to these kids. And it shows

The camera is even doing some zooming. Faces!

I want Aoyama to win this Tournament

Hot Shot Up n' Comer Team Meikai: I love them because they do the Sing Sub where the setter stays on and plays OP for half a rotation

    Three Freshmen

#27 OH Arina Tsutsumi the girl who signed with Himeji (from Kyoei HS)

#28 S Izumi Nagai Setter from Kyoei (does the Sing Sub)

    #29 OH Haven't ID'd her yet but at #29, she's a freshman

That's their game. Set to 4. With Freshmen. They've beaten two nobody schools so far. NIFS is next. It's doable. NIFS won the Championship 2 years ago with Saki Nakajima, but they're struggling now. Dream on, girls :rose:

Lots of 3–0 this round but some very exciting volleyball getting there. I want Aoyama to win this Tournament or NSSU, but that's very unlikely

Just getting to know Kobe Shinwa. Like 'em. Not Shoin

  • Which are the top 5 universities? I wanna try to get into this but I can't even read their jerseys

  • Which are the top 5 universities? I wanna try to get into this but I can't even read their jerseys

Yeah, the coverage is pretty bad. Even if you could see their jerseys only a few teams have player names on them. The Quarterfinals should improve a bit on coverage with multiple cameras and zooming

Tokai is likely to win this. They're skilled and smart. Ameze Miyabe plays for them

Tsukuba is skilled but not very smart. The Real Yoshino Sato plays for them

Aoyama is pretty solid. I hope they win :)

    NSSU are talented goofballs

TWCPE is fire-y but a little unfocused

NIFS is the Top Team not from the Kanto Region but they are in a transition phase this year

If you look here at volleybox, you can see an overview of the medaling teams over the years

  • Dang. Meikai started poorly 2–8, but managed to comeback and take a 22–19 lead only to lose 22–25

JWCPE takes set 1 over TWCPE. That's a bit of a surprise but JWCPE seems to be peaking at this time compared to the Spring and Autumn Tournaments

Tokai, of course, takes set 1. This tournament so far has been a cakewalk for them in terms of matchups

  • Tokai won and Meikai lost. I smell a Tie Break with the WCPEs. Super tight match. JW is punching up, leading 2–1

[-] That was a Uni Match :rose:

challenge call gives JW the match 17–15. I've been a TW fan all year but I'm happy about this

  • Fukuoka is giving Tsukuba a taste of their own medicine: Middle Blocker who stays on and plays the reception line :rose:

Fukuoka is another team punching up this tournament. Their three pins are all about 165cm but they bring the high RBI thing. Big energy. Shiny happy people. #9 Miyu Kawazoe

Tsukuba took the first set [25–23] but Fukuoka clobbered them in Set 2 [25–13]

I don't think Tsukuba has ever gone home at Round 3 but it's a distinct possibility tonight. I'm cool with that. They've been disappointing all year

Fukuoka [26–24] Set 3. Look out Tsukuba =O

  • I only got to watch the 3rd set but woah Tsukuba :what:

    :wavy:

It's not over but Fukuoka has the juice and Tsukuba doesn't :gone:

  • OMG

    Bye bye Tsukuba

And really, nobody better than Fukuoka to send them home. I love scrappy little kids

  • Next match up is Aoyama v Nagasaki and it smells a bit like Tsukuba v Fukuoka: established Top Team against scrappy little kids

The sad news is that the winner gets Tokai in the QFs

The brackets this year are whack. Aoyama v Tokai should be the Final but one of them is going home at QF [Edit] assuming Aoyama beats Nagasaki which isn't a foregone conclusion
