OH/OPP is gonna be problematic I think. Especially since we need to win as much as possible for world ranking

Absolutely agree, I think H.Jasper has to start for the needs of defence and reception, but I expect there will be quite a few rotation on the starting line up next week.
-
Probably one of the youngest 14 players squad next week among all the teams also? 10 players born after 2000
-
Too bad Marrit Jasper isn't there, or we could have seen sister duo at OH.
Also too bad Savelkoel is injured. Or would have made sense to field the Potsdam trio with established connection Van Aalen-Jasper-Savelkoel.
I love Dijkema but hope to see Van Aalen get some playing time.
I'm hoping for somebody to positively surprise. Maybe Nova Marring.
Also welcome back to Knip!
Hope she shows why she should have been included last year.

Week 1:
OH/OPP: H.Jasper, Knollema, De Haan, Vos, Mulder, Dambrink, Marring
MB: Baijens, Stuut, Timmerman
S: Van Aalen, Dijkema
L: Knip, Reesink
(I didn't separate OH and OPP as I think some of the players can play in both positions)
Pitty ten Brinke doesn't get a chance on the middle blocker position. Stuut isn't is IMO...
I would like to see Brokking getting a chance in another week instead of Reesink!
On Instagram I saw Dijkema will be the new captain. Logical choise looking at her experience, but I don't think she deserves a spot in NT anymore. In club season both van Aalen en Bongaerts clearly outplayed her.

From the Instagram story seems like most of the players within the 30 players list are still training within the team so probably we can expected quite a number of change for week 2 & 3

Two articles about Knip and her return to the NT. She doesn't go in deep detail about what happened last summer. But it's once again more than clear that appointing Selinger was the biggest mistake that the federation could have done. Already feel sorry for the girls in Japan that have to work with him and his pathetic personality. And the other staff members don't go free either

Tbh I feel like Selinger and his whole coaching team are the biggest reason why many of those veteran (Belien, De Kruijf & Grothues) leave the team before WCH that being held at home. As I remember they were being excited and some originally plan to end their NT career after that.
Hopefully Koslowski could bring a new energy and positive atmosphere for the team.

Curious what the line-up will look like this week
I hope it will be like this:
van Aalen - Dambrink
H. Jasper - Knollema
Timmerman - Baijens
Knip
For me, this already is one of the best starting 6 we can have on court for this summer. Only I would put Daalderop on Knollema her position and maybe Bongaerts as the main setter.
Curious about the shape Dambrink is in, since she haven't played a lot in Schwerin. I would like to see Mulder getting some chances and what she is capable of on international level! Next to that I'm curious who will come on court if one of H. Jasper or Knollema isn't playing well? I hope to see Marring than and if she is able to play as outside hitter.
Anyway, I'm happy Koslowski is our new head coach and I hope he can give the team some new energy

Pity that many Dutch players retired from NT because this Olympic cycle they have fair chance to get the ticket. In the absence of Russia, only serious contenders are Belgium, Germany and Thailand for last ticket (assuming all 9 favourites would qualify+host+African team). If Nika could carry the team like Herbots does, dutch team is still better than others. Fingers crossed 🙏

You predicted well except Dijkema was starting.
I am fine with her competing for a spot. But this match she was outplayed by Van Aalen.

Germany overtook the 12th place in the world ranking. Netherlands is 13th now. We need to start winning matches asap

Nika is in the gym, and hope she joins from week 2.
And apparantly Koslowski will ask Grothues to return.

Really?! Where did you see that?
-
So sad because with this new format netherlands had the chance to be in paris but should cope with retirements, absences and injuries
It gonna took some years felix to build a strong team but they are in right path
Van alen, marring, nika, hester and mb are good prospects,it needs a good opp
I feel dambrink to slow and heavy

It was said by commentator during the match against Brazil. If she does, I don't hope it will be a repeat of Floortje Meijners very short comeback.

Hmm I see. Curious where they got their info from.
I think it is highly unlikely and if Koslowski wants to improve reception he could use Knip/Schoot for that. I can't imagine he want to have Grothues back for attacking duties. She doesn't like to be bench player either and emphasized multiple times how done she was with NT... but who knows haha

Bongaerts, Plak, Daalderop and Lohuis will play in Hong Kong and Bangkok

Maret Grothues seems to be back with the NT. Dijkema posted a story on Instagram at Papendal with Grothues.
