    yea and it’s ABSOLUTELY absurd to not play Anthi just so you can play Macris

    I think Julia-Anthi will be the main OH duo, but Tugba will probably start some matches against lower ranked teams so that Diana can play.


    Does that mean Alexia is staying in Vakif btw?

    I didn't say so, I can see Julia functioning well next to players similar to her that can cover themselves well enough like Voronkova and Hande, but I think Anthi is a player that will function better with a defensive OH next to her that can cover for her sometimes so she can focus on attacking. Otherwise THY to me will look like the season when JT was passing.

    It is a crime to bench Anthi. I hope she somehow cancels her deal with THY.


    I asked the previous question because why whould Ze as Brazil's coach bench 2 of Brazil's starting players, before the olympic season? I understand that one of them can be benched but 2, he will be criticised a lot, especially if they are Macris or Bergman.


    For THY it makes more sense to have Macris and Bergman+Tugba as OH. Tugba hits quicker sets and will work very well with Macris. This simply means they should not waste Anthi in bench. Maybe I am being emotional but the Greek goddess deserves her time on court :cheesy:

    It might come down to Anthi was an Abbondanza signing.


    Ze’s plans might be different… I don’t know.


    But that’s THY’s mess lol


    (this isn’t to say Ze doesn’t want her… but Abbondanza had been the driving force behind it originally)

    or like get a local setter because again. Macris is a waste for a foreigner slot in a league where you only get 3. If they bench Anthi just so Macris can start than Ze should be fired because he would be putting Brazils goals above THYs

    now that's unfair to Ze.


    Ze was brought in to do what he wants by THY.


    THY could've stayed with Abbondanza like they had promised... and they'd have a squad of OH-Anthi-Kingdon-Tugba?, Sila-Naz, KVR, Kubra-Middle-Maglio-Bahar, libero.... That squad (with Naz+Anthi) could compete for a top 3 spot...


    but THY opted otherwise.
