Relax. Not all players are ready at 20 to be in the NT. Guiliani and Frosini will be trained by Velasco next year and I'm really hoping they can improve their game. I've always had faith in Frosini, I think she can turn into a complete more technical OPP. Giuliani has made good progress compared to the U18 and has been showing it in this tournament.
I remembered Mari Steinbrecher was 20 and Fabiana Claudino was 19 when they both joined the NT in 2004 and Athens Olympics. I think Gamova was 20 when she joined Russia NT in 2000.
Display MoreU20 Team Batch 2019 (6th) who made it in the senior NT: Julia K, Julia B, Kisy, Tainara, Ana C
Batch 2017 U20 (5th): Diana, Lorena, Nyeme, Karina, Julia B, Tainara, Lorrayna
Batch 2007 U20 (Gold): Camila, Pri Daroit, Natalia, Amanda, Tandara
Batch 2005 U20 (Gold): Adenizia, Thaisa, Fernanda Rodrigues, Michelle Pavao, Suelen
Batch 2001 U20 (Gold): Fabiola, Paula Pequeno, Sassa, Jaqueline, Sheilla
So yeah not just 2-3 players from juniors can make it in the Senior NT.
They are from same generation but not all played in junior NT at the same time.

I actually agree with this. People always bring up Boskovic, Ana C., Arina etc into these conversations, but they are the exception, not the rule. The vast majority of players are not going to be ready to play for the senior NT in their teens, but that doesn't mean they can't grow into great players in the future. If we were to discard every player that is still green by the time they're 20, no NT would manage to fill out a 12-player roster.
As i mentioned we don't have two best players of this generation due to NCAA. That's why I didn't expect anything from this generation. Melisa Bükmen who was supposed to be the leader of this group is in a terrible shape. Dilay and Eylül who are from 2005 generation joined to the team only a few days before the tournament start so there was no time for team building. I've watched their games only for Bengisu who was a very dominant blocker in the league, but she had a mediocre tournament unfortunately 🤷
I think Brazil will be champion and play the final against Italy. As already mentioned before, Italian team is very successful at age groups but couldn't get those players to senior level except Omoruyi. On the other hand, I can see many individuals from Brazilian team making it to senior NT post Paris era
I don't like this logic of the federations of prioritizing players instead of the group, it is clear that for example Dilay will not have the same performance playing two world championships in a row, it doesn't matter her age, and especially she would not be able to train properly with both groups, you harm the athlete and the team.

It seemed that without Ituma this team would be much weaker.
Mencarelli's team looks much better today than Mazzanti's...

Not really. I loved Ituma and really thought she could've become a great OPP but the OPP wasn't the problem. Adelusi was good enough. Remember she was the lead OPP of club Italia over Julia and had some good games. The question mark for me was the OHs and MBs. But I am pleasantly surprised by Giuliani. I can totally see that girl becoming a top OH in the future. She passes well, attack smartly, and serves well and she's over 1.90 m. I'm hyped that she will be trained by Velasco this club season. Marconato and Eckl are doing well too. I just hoped that Nausica was brought instead of Constantini. She was doing so well at Club Italia.
So I'm wondering, maybe it's a pity that Mencarelli didn't get a longer chance in 2013. He's a great coach. In turn, Mazzanti for 6 years of work in the national team, only in 1 season prepared the peak of form for the target event: 2018 World Champ. Then, or it was too late: 2021 or too early: 2022 and 2017 or wasn't there at all: 2019. Looking at the junior competitions from 2015 it`s Italy that should now dominate women's volleyball and win senior gold medals. It's a shame to waste such potential
In the case of these young girls, they also need to create the right conditions for development in their clubs. Enough of buying mediocre players from abroad. If you buy, it's only stars not average players who take a place in the squad of young Italians. In my country there is a proverb: "You praise someone else's, you don't know your own. You don't know what you have".

they did play at junior NT at the same time
Talking about rewatch, FIVB has removed or hide it the match Brazil x Italy, and they did that after a lot of complaining about some clear mistakes made by the 1st ref. against Brazil, especially the one at the end of 4th set when he freak out and saw from his *** a violation by Juju.

It was due to copyright issues rather than the FIVB wanting to delete a controversial match.

Why is there any copyleft issue with this specific match but not the other matches? What makes this particular match different?

Maybe it's something else...like both teams requesting they hide the match so China and Japan can't watch it... idk, they've conspiracy theories about everything these days
