I don’t think so. I guess the 4x2 system was never used in Brazil .

That system was great on paper but not in action. Somehow, some people find it still doable but I disagree. at least not on top level. And it requires adaptation. You cannot just force players into it in one day.

you do realize that most of the NT members are already starting in their domestic leagues. Naiane, Tainara, Maiara, Lorena, Edinara, and Lais are still there while giving more experience to the future of Brazil - Helena, Luzia, Aline, Larissa, Lele.
It was the club's decision (Itambe requested for Kisy, Julia Kudiess to be released from Panamericana, so did Osasco for Maira). Turkish League has already started so Diana, Julia B, Gabi, Macris are already overseas. Not Ze Roberto's.

you are obviously a Brazil hater. USA and Canada didn't even bother to compete in this event. Win-win for Brazil either way. Gain more international experience for their youngsters. They only get to meet Dominican Republic in the Finals, they are in different groupings.

You must be blind then, because it's one of my favourite teams, in both men's and women's volleyball.
I didn't follow then that much in the last 5/6, because almost all their best players are gone, but they were among my favourites for many years.I was simply hoping Brazil would give a sense to this tournament, sending a good team. That's all. I know the schedule inside the club season is ridiculous, because it will keep the best teams from sending their best possible players.
In the women's side, having just DR with the main team is unattractive, because they will sweep all the teams. Puerto Rico won't ask to release the players abroad for the tournament and just lost one of the 2 starters available for the tournament, who signed in Italy. Brazil sends such a weak and young team. No idea about Argentina, Colombia and Chile, but they are no challenge. Same for Mexico and Cuba.
