I don't think so, if Russia was allowed to play international tournaments, their best bet would still be 34 years old Goncharova. I don't want to get into Antropova's naturalization discussion but she would have chances to be starter in Russian team too in case Russia didn't start a war of course.

c'mon now. just because Akimova didn't play for a big team doesn't mean she can easily be dismissed. Goncharova isn't that bad either. she has been consistently carrying Dynamo for a long time even at that age.
this russian showed right away in a friendly match and she wasn't even near Russia's NT. the Russians never really had shortages of good hitters. just lack of one basic skill... reception.

Not sure about that. I think Misli is still sponsor for league and NT but I'm not sure if they will broadcast the matches.
