as much as I love Thailand in the international matches like VNL, it's time that some other team ends their dominance in SEAG. it would mean there's growth of VB in the region.

It's hard for me to see how Myanmar gonna win one set. They're soooo bad

Hmm...interesting predictions !
Oddly enough, it's not impossible for this to happen in the semifinal matches, but it's highly unlikely Myanmar can beat Singapore and same for Cambodia winning against Malaysia

Yeah it was not a complete uneducated guess, just unpopular opinions based on what I think could happen and having a bit of faith in my faves. Only Thailand is on a complete other level imo for now

btw thank you for your updates on the Presidential Elections in Turkey in the politics/social thread. The Thais also have their election on 14 May. There's no election in Cambodia...but they have the volleyball finals

Apparently the Cambodia team decided not to show up to the match and the Malaysian team said “ok no problem. We’re already here so we may just as well split into 2 teams and have some fun.”
Can’t make this up

Someone in Twitter who was at the venue said that apparently the team got sick which is why they were not able to play. Personally take that with a grain of salt but hopefully the team (who are made up of young players iirc) don't get too discouraged from this.

😢
They probably got sick of being overwhelmed by every team they met. I feel sorry for them. Yes, they went to China and got training for a few months, but it may be they were taught the sport from scratch, there.
It raises a question, should a host country enter a team in a sport in which they didn’t have representatives with sufficient skill to compete ?

Good question. I think in SEAG it's okay, up to them -- but they shouldn't bail halfway through if they getting beat up
If it was the Olympics, probably not cool because they'd be seeded as #1, I think
and people get mad at that
