I think van Aalen isn't the one to blame, she barely gets a real chance this season and is still young for a setter. She would do great with a better team around her! Busa on the other hand showing again she isn't made to play for a top level team. She's got the experience, but can't even stabilize the reception/ defense...

This season Egonu has a BIG problem which she had not before. Her servis. She is making so MANY MANY MANY MANY errors from the servis line. If she want to become a better player until for now she needs to use the float servis because a servis error will bring an other servis error and after that an attack error and she lose her concentration and she destroys her own game. It is too bad because she seems that she has worked a lot and has successfully managed to reduce her attack errors.

this is one of the worst if the worst matches of vakifbank. Completely shutdown. Catsu isn't connecting well with her players. Reception is also a problem. I think that rotation of gabi/frantti switching position for reception is quite confusing. Just let frantti receive the ball on the right position! Busa is fine and better reception but overall their performance as a player and team wasn't good.
Milano was completely on top of ever position. vakifbank letting haak and egonu go was ultimately worst decision. JT can't carry a team.
But vakifbank is vakifbank. They will try and make some surprises.

Didn't Potsdam beat Vakifbank 2-3 last year (the game where Sarah impressed Guidetti)? I can't find the result in the archive but Vakif ended 2nd in that group behind Novara, and look how it ended. It's a quality to be able to peak when necessary so I have no doubt they will be performing when it matters

The CEV site isn't working but last year it was:
Group win > QF (best ranked vs. 5th ranked)
Nrs 2 + best nr 3 > Play-off, 3 winners play 2-3-4th ranked group winners in QF.
So as long as Vakifbank wins their other two matches they should make it into play-offs anyway. Might even be better to become 2nd than 'worst' group winner
