this is just a show of desperation
I get from Poland cuz they're following Kubiak's footsteps but totally unexpected from Brazil.

Who cares about the result tho? All I care is that we have a top level prospect of an OPP on Bovolenta a a good OH prospect on Porro. I totally see Ale taking Yuri's place in a couple years. He just needs to improve his serve.
Italy will have a dream team if Bovolenta develops in a way his current level suggests, he's the best opp-prospect in the world at this point, and it's not an overreaction.
He's ridiculously good considering he's a year younger and in terms of physical strength completely not developed. Size, athleticism, fast swing, great angles, speed - full package, I saw almost every Ravenna game in A2 this year just to watch him, lol.
the Opp that played today was Bryan. You are talking about him or Samuel?
sorry, I mean Bryan.

He is. And I actually liked his choice of remaining in Ravenna where he will be starter all the time rather than moving to a Serie A1 team in which he might not play.
I do think Ravenna has what it takes to be promoted next year.
I think Both team were in similar level. Anyone could win. Congrats to Italy. I didn’t watch Bul and Irn but are those teams. I thought BRA and Italy would have chances lol
I agree with Realista , Bulgaria and Iran are on higher level than these two teams. I expect Bulgaria and Iran both advance to Final.
But who knows, the game starts from 0-0.

Nah. The final will be a rematch of the Euro semis last year. ITA vs BUL
Feel a bit bad for Brazil, Bovolenta should already be playing with a senior NT, it's kind of obvious he's already way better than any opposite but Romano.
I think that's common that the federation wants to have good outcome in the U-series competetion. He will move to senior next year for VNL, at least. Also, he will probably move to Lube in 23/24 season.
Italy would be so dominant team with Porro tho.
Why didn't Porro come?

Nope he already renewed with Ravenna to play the A2

Why didn't Porro come?
he underwent appendicitis operation a week before the WC
Why didn't Porro come?
Acute appendicitis right before the WCH started. Really bad luck but it is what it is.
I honestly think that the Belgium HC is the worst game manager i’ve ever seen.

i was right
Our team is the definition of mid. I already know they'll end in 6th place with no room for uncertainty whatsoever lol
At least is good to see Diaz (17 yo) punched his way to the starting lineup here. He will be the star of the U19 team.

Technically, him, Mancini and Orioli all have had multi-year contracts and Bovolenta just decided to stay. Whether Ravenna will compete for A1 will be really dependent on this Canadian OH that they acquired, they need much better player than Swan or R. Pinali from a year ago.

I mean it's gonna be difficult but they still have a chance against Brazil. Maybe they dont have a good day and Argentina plays their best game. Who knows

My mistake. Not the upcoming season, but 24/25 season, cuz the rumor has circled around for some time that Ravenna and Lube had agreement. Of course it's just one possiblity.

He's the standout for sure, the most used by far and still he made very few mistakes. Impressive.
watch some comments saying that Bovolenta looks like Michieletto ( not to Italians probably. for others)
My impression : the Iranian setter has better skill setting the MB than their setters in senior NT.
Italy is really gonna have a tough time against either Iran or Bulgaria, especially in terms of physicality.
But in all honesty, are the Iranian ayers really U21? I mean not even the Russians looked that physically developed for that age haha
