Japan - V.League V1 (Division 1, Women) 2023-2024

  • does anyone have an idea who might replace yoshihara at jt

    -Nakada

YES Nakada. She coached a men's v3/v4 team. Her contract ended last March

    -Lerbach

Triggered boomer The Lerb but he's currently assistant coach at Denso BUT he probably hates it and wants to be HC again asap

    -Takayuki Fukatsu

brother of former NT player Asahiro Fukatsu. Currently one of Blain's assistant coaches in the men's NT A.

    -Gen Kawakita

He made it clear that he's not just gonna skidaddle back to the US regardless of their results at the Olympics

    -foreign coach

Shannon Winzer lmaoo I mean Victorina was able to secure Selinger so anything's possible and JT has the dough

  • what do you think of yoko zetterlund? she used to coach at local training camps. i saw her playing with shinnabe and maiko kano in their own volleyball team for ex-olympic players

  • what do you think of yoko zetterlund? she used to coach at local training camps. i saw her playing with shinnabe and maiko kano in their own volleyball team for ex-olympic players

I don't think she's actively coaching more on commentating? but I'm not sure

Tajimi started in V2 then worked her way up to Hitachi. Mayumi Saito will probably follow that pattern

  • I don't think she's actively coaching more on commentating? but I'm not sure

She just retired from JWCPE, so ....

  • what wait i thought kurowashiki has been abolished already? you guys said summer league is the last

They have officially announced 2024 as the last Summer League. There has only been chatter about Kurowashiki's future because there was chatter the SV.League might go into May or close to it, and I guess there is something sacred about Kurowashiki being held the first week of May

  • There's also talk about abolishing the National Sports Festival because hosters are complaining it's too expensive. NSF is the one that has Adult and Junior. For the adults it's Prefecture Teams where SAGA goes as Saga and Yuka Imamura is Captain; PFU adds a couple Uni Girls and goes as Ishikawa Selection. The Juniors is one of the Big 3 High School Tournaments (with Spring High and Inter-High)

    Everything is falling apart :white:

  • :(

don't worry, the dust will settle and everything will fall into place...

Updated list of key Middle Blockers (or at least with decent playing time) leaving their teams:

    • Kyoko Aoyagi
    • Aya Watanabe
    • Kotomi Osaki
    • Asuka Hamamatsu
    • Reika Sato
    • Mami Yokota
    • Sayaka Yokota
  • This transfer hoping at will is out of control :rolll: As I expressed before I wish a lot of them would go to V2 teams to strengthen them but I wouldn't be able to watch them so it won't matter :(

  • Yoshino Nishikawa seems to be having a nice swing tonight. I tense up a little when she gets the set

  • I'm loving this non-BCS volleyball

  • Tsukuba defeated Toray Arrows!:dance6::dance6::dance6:

That was pretty cool. Toray is weak, but still

Meanwhile Denso is having problems with Kinrankai who look big
