yeah, wanting to be the "world's" best league but you can only watch it if you are in Japan
remember a couple years ago when overseas players complained they couldn't watch Japanese matches because they were geoblocked, so they created a non-geo-blocked version. They won't be able to do that with JSports
Price is higher than VTV ... 2,000 v 1,500 yen ... throw in the price of a VPN (if it will even work), at least 5 bux/month, and a BCS heavy league starts to look pretty unattractive
Oh well, fun while it lasted -

So I tried using a browser extension fake vpn to register at JSports and it appears to be working but I'd like a little input on the required bullshit step. I don't know what the required formats of phone #s etc is. I don't know why/how Japanese put up with this bullshit
Any hel[?

So I registered at JSports. They have some or all, I don't know, of the V.League 'catalog' there on demand, but you can't view it until you give CC info. It's supposedly free until Oct but I'm not ready to give CC because, frankly, if SV.League turns into a BCS parade I'm likely to move on. Not interested in that
I just wanted to see if they are self respecting enough to NOT host some of the absolute crap V.League put out over the years, post DAZN
Which is my real curiosity. Is JSports like DAZN in the sense that they will have any control over the quality of the broadcast? I doubt it, because, ya know, that's a lot of matches in very different locations, some quite bumfuck -

Any reason why some are removing the name of their company? Aren’t company sports clubs typically intended for marketing purposes?

league is trying to look more like the Basketball and soccer leagues in Japan, and play more home games, plus make the teams more connected to cities or regions instead of companies. Because the teams predominantly were owned by companies previously, this shift is pretty significant.

Obviously some kind of diversity nonsense going on here with the East. I guess since this is the last Summer League they wanted to represent as many schools as possible instead of just letting NSSU and Tsukuba fill out the rosters? And not pick anyone who might be called for the U-Squads or the Eastern Zonal thing coming up, although Maaya Ino is and a couple others are here
