Friedrichschafen left the competition due to the high costs.
To be more detailed: they quit because they don't have a suitable hall at the moment because their regular hall was closed 2 years ago. For national competitions they play in a smaller hall now, but CEV didn't allow them to play the CL matches there, so they would have to rent bigger halls in other cities for a lot of money and they can't afford those costs anymore.
