Chinese women's NT 2024

  • Spoiling a 9 point lead in 1 set, then another 5 points in a second set and losing the match.. ?

What a terrible day for them. Do they even want to go to the Olympics??

Therefore some of "fans" said that in order to fire Cai Bin and the bad people of CVA, Chinese women's NT should lose more matches.

I hate these "fans" because they all confused cause and effect. ( Chinese: 本末倒置 )

In fact, I focus on the players of Chinese men's NT more because they are weak but many of them know what to do.

When Li Ying-ying said, "出国打球没关系,男排陪练就不错" (It's okay to go abroad to play volleyball but it's also good to have ladder male players), I have no words to say.

In fact, I like Zhang Jing-yin much more than Li Ying-ying.

My favourite roster of Chinese (in 2022)
    male NT:
    S - Yu Yao-chen, Chen Lei-yang
OP - Jiang Chuan, Dai Qing-yao
    OH - Zhang Jing-yin, Yu Yuan-tai, Liu Li-bin, Fu Hou-wen
    MB - Zhang Zhe-jia, Peng Shi-kun, Li Yong-zhen, Jiang Zhen-yang
    L - Yang Yi-ming, Yang Tian-yuan

    female NT:
    S - Yao Di, Diao Lin-yu
    OP - Gong Xiang-yu, Sun Xiao-xuan
    OH - Li Ying-ying, Wang Yi-fan, Wu Meng-jie, Zhuang Yu-shan
MB - Yuan Xin-yue, Wang Yuan-yuan, Zheng Yi-xin, Liu Yu
    L - Ni Fei-fan, Xu Jia-nan

  • Happy birthday to Wang Yun-lu (28 years old).

The photo is from her weibo:

  • This team just is not comfortable to watch, even when they win points. There's no flow like the 2019 team and I understand why everyone's so quiet here now.

I’m still here! But yes there’s no real excitement watching the girls play bc it just feels a bit hopeless. I will say I have been surprised by the improvement WYY has shown in the past few years - the Middles are still playing up to standard, and Wang Mengjie has continued to impress. I feel so bad for Gong bc she’s literally the heart of the team but still so unappreciated…

As for the OHs and Setters, everyone is just wanting ZT to come back and save everyone but I don’t think she’s trained that closely with Diao who is prone to going mad during games so idk, I just hope they get to Paris.

  • Tian Zongqi, a former commentator with CCTV5 for women's volleyball, has died in Thailand at 42.

He was close with the older players.

    RIP... Too young, too soon.

  • How has everyone been doing? I hope everyone has been well.

We're going to go into the Week 2 of the VNL, and Zhu Ting is confirmed back on court! How are we feeling about this? =O

  • I don’t about how others are feeling, but everyday I’m wondering why other teams have coaches and we end up having a freaking 🤡

Mood. Other teams chop the head if they underperform or don't show promise, and yet that's not happening ?(

Do yall think Zhu can magically save éveryone's ass with her return? I don't mean it with any disrespect to her nor the others. I'm just wondering to what extent can she influence the NT's dynamic and play :box:

I hope she can, but it's gonna be hard, the clown has selected two underperforming setters.. Diao who is inconsistent and cannot handle OOS balls and Ding who is slower to respond now and not as accurate as she used to be.

  • I don't know whether yall have watched the match just now against Italy, but three words:

    CAI BIN OUT!!!!!!!!

  • There was no fighting chance AT ALL, it's like they were getting massacred out there. 2nd set was their chance to fight back but they squandered whatever chance they had, and AS USUAL, Cai Bin only subbed in players in the 3RD SET WHEN THEY WERE DOWN 6-8 POINTS. He tried to sub in Ding Xia and Zheng Yi Xin to save the situation, but a RIDICULOUS CALL OF "CARRY" WAS CALLED ON ZHENG RIGHT AFTER SHE STEPPED ON COURT AND EXECUTED A SLIDE. Then he subbed in Zhang Chang Ning, but at the point, it was as good as over. There was no fight-back or grit or any damn standard in the 3rd set, and Cai Bin did NOTHING - he waited until his pants caught on fire before attempting to put out the flames.

It was absolutely frustrating and embarrassing, to say the least. I don't know what are they trying to do or NOT trying to do, but they better get their stuff together otherwise they can look forward to losing horribly in the Olympics. God I was seething with ANGER throughout the 2nd and 3rd sets that I tuned in to. Tonight, Italy was good, but not UNBEATABLE kind of good, so you can just imagine how much the standard for the Chinese NT has dropped since its glory days and even Tokyo Olympics days.

The team's defensive cohesion was POOR, their OOS plays were DISASTROUS 4/5 of the times (no thanks to Diao who sucks in OOS situations), the pins weren't performing enough, the middles were lacking in blocks, the anticipation on who's going to get set on the Italian team was HORRIBLE.

    Three words: CAI BIN OUT!!!!!!!

  • The players seriously need to learn from the Japanese on how to transition from defense (digging the ball) to offense (preparing to get set and swing): their grave weakness is the player who manages to dig a ball has to "sacrifice" herself as a "potential attacking option", thus making it easier for the opponent team to anticipate who gets set, since the number of attacking options has reduced from the perfect 4 (OH, OP, MB, OH in Zone 6) to most of the times, 2 (OH and OP), and even just ONE (OH or OP). The players need to learn how to stay on their feet or get up on their feet QUICKLY, and get into position for the next play.

I know they're way taller than the Japanese and with height comes cumbersome movements, but honestly, all things can be trained.

Tonight, against Italy, there weren't many rallies, and most of the time, the ball ends after Italy executes 1-3 plays, which shows poor defense and passing. If they can improve on this, then they'll have a better chance of getting into system, especially since we all know Diao as a setter is not good at all in OOS plays.

  • he wants to prove that he can do well without Lang Ping's proteges.

His pants is catching on fire and he's going to fall on his ass, exposed.

If the CVA doesn't get rid of him next year, I think it's safe to say everyone is going to give up on the NT, irrespective of whether we have Zhu Ting and all the star players or not.

  • Cai's mission in life is to get Wang Yunlu a free ride to Paris24, and hopefully win a medal. The others like Diao, Nee, he just likes them. If the team fails, then he'll just blame Lyy , Wu or Zhu for not performing...

What is this man's obsession with WYL and Diao and all that? IS HE LIKE THEIR SECRET ADOPTIVE FATHER OR SOMETHING? WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM? Actually, first of all, WHAT EVEN IS THIS MAN'S CREDENTIALS THAT HE LANDED THIS ILLUSTRIOUS JOB AFTER LANG PING?

I promise you if he starts blaming any of the other players for not performing, he can expect people to light his ass on fire.

I can't stand this man no more. VNL should introduce a new award: Most Useless Coach Ever, so that Cai Bin can finally WIN something.
