How nice, Team NL - France - Italy - Japan can rent some private jet to travel everywhere together
Other travelling groups are: (2) Türkiye - Poland - Germany - Bulgaria; (3) Brazil - China.- DR - Thailand, and (4) USA - Serbia - Canada - KoreaUsually teams don't play the other teams in their 'seeding group', right? So for NL that would be Germany, DR and Canada? I would not mind that tbh because we always seem to struggle vs them
also this way, Canada would play the same opponents as us which would make world ranking a fair game

Each week every team plays against 4 opponents and they can't play twice against the same team in group phase.

It is still unclear with whom each team will play each weekend . I tried to see if I will be able to know it for POL but over 3 weeks POL "meets" with all 15 teams in poolsand it makes it hard because I can't say which teams we won't play. However, according to the competition formula the teams are divided into four groups based on the world ranking at the end of the last edition of VNL. Then each team plays with 3 teams ranked 1-4, 3 teams ranked 5-8, 3 teams ranked 9-12 and 3 teams ranked 13-16.
The WR after VNL 2023 and group divisions was like that:
1-4: USA, BRA, TUR, ITA
5-8: CHN, SRB, JPN, POL,
9-12: DOM, NED, GER, CAN
13-16: BUL, KOR, FRA, THA
With that being said, Sassy your are not correct. It means that NED will for sure play with DOM, GER and CAN. They will not play with 1 team from other groups.
PS: Does anuone knows if it is possible to see the WR from August 2022 for example?

I think I have the world ranking from April 2023 (so before NT season started) by doing calculations, but not sure if you can find a list from a specific date or sth

I need a ranking from before WCH 2022 to see if I will be able to reach to some conclusions that help to define opponents in each week.

You can go to the World Ranking and open each country's name, find the ranking points from the first WCH match and then list it. That's the way I've calculated the Pre-VNL23 scores! So i.e. for Türkiye it would be 309,7. Good luck!

I thought it was this before 2023 VNL as well, until it was pointed out to me that USA would be playing Serbia twice or something like that which isn't gonna happen.

I need a ranking from before WCH 2022 to see if I will be able to reach to some conclusions that help to define opponents in each week.
After some time I managed to find out how it is. I ranked the teams based on WR after VNL 2022 and made a table. Then I found WR from 2021 and put the teams from 2022 VNL in right order in a table for 2023 VNL and the teams with whom each team didn't play matched. BUL replaced RUS so they played with their opponents in 2022. If someone is interested I attached Excel file with the tables.
It looks like this for 2024:
TUR will not play with JPN, DOM, BUL
USA - POL, GER, THA
ITA - SRB, NED, KOR
BRA - CHN, CAN, FRA
SRB - ITA, DOM, KOR
CHN - BRA, NED, THA
POL - USA, GER, BUL
JPN - TUR, CAN, FRA
DOM - TUR, SRB, KOR
NED - ITA, CHN, BUL
GER - USA, POL, FRA
CAN - BRA, JPN, THA
THA - USA, CHN, CAN
BUL - TUR, POL, NED
FRA - BRA, JPN, GER

I did some other type of calculations and Serbia don't play with Turkey, Dominikana and France. Let's see who is right 😂
