Inoue is just now spiking into the void lol.
-
after this match Witkowska is not going to be cut from the roster..

POL is actually digging the One block spikes of Japan extremely well. They literally eating them up.
I’m super impressed by the block & defense of Poland. Imo they have the best defense among the European teams. Their defense doesn’t even look worse than Japan when they’re facing each other.

So sad that’s Alagierska after injury isn’t dynamic as before. It’s seems that’s she wasn’t play whole season.
-
Wada is that bench girl. Even in her club, she's always a second stringer BUT plays like a starter every single time on court.
-
Wow after 1 round POL has 12:0
-
Wooooww 3:0 with Japan
And after 1st tournament we dont even lose a single set
Congratulstions my girls

Congrats Poland! A perfect 1st week and proved their success last season wasn’t just a one-hit wonder.
-
Wow Congrats to Poland!! They are playing so well now; they have done an awesome job this week. Would you take the risk and make any changes to current line up?
-
japan have to fight harder than their opponents every match, making it near impossible to chain at least 4-5 tough matches back to back in order to be able to win tournaments, any drop in performance makes them disproportionately vulnerable.
-
Good job Poland! With this great shape, they are getting into medal race in Olympics. 👏👏
-
Stysiak’s hand movement and striking is so fast, I couldn’t follow the ball trajectory

I’m still not sure I think they are on same level as the strongest teams at their best but they sure have been impressive this week and they are definitely capable of upsetting a top team. Just not sure they can beat great teams consecutively. I don’t think Stysiak is consistent enough
-
Deserved win by POL. They literally went the pedestal in all department and smashed Japan's offense.
Sad but Japan seems to be easily flustered yet again. They were doing well in the first set but POL's serves demolished their system. Second and Third Set is pretty much Stysiak bombing away but that is expected. Koga has an off game today. The block really bothered her after the first set. Above average performance from the others. The POL Offense just overpowered them, and their defense is no joke either.
The great takeaway from me here is that Manabe saw the light and saw that Ishikawa's defense(which is much more consistent) is more crucial than Koga's offense but let's see.

With previous version of Olympics, I could understand your concern but with new format, one can be Olympic champion with 6 games. There is no Olympic team that this polish nt CANNOT win right now. They won't be favourite against let's say top4-5 teams maybe but they have the potential to beat pretty much anyone right now.

that I can agree with. Similar to Turkey pre Vargas (this isn’t me being shady it just seemed like a good comparison)

I disagree but I'll let this slip😂
-
I was hoping for a 4- or 5-setter but unfortunately Japan couldn't reach their peak level from earlier this week
congrats to Poland though! They seem to have a good combi of smart play, fire power and block pressure
For Japan, I am very happy that Mayu finally gets the NT time she deserves
she did quite well this week vs tall blockers, playing in Italy obviously helped her to prepare

Turkiye vs France and USA vs DR is coming up, just curious who makes this schedule for instance since Turkiye is the host so don’t they start to play from weakest to strongest such as they should have played France first, and get their juice going?
