2024 Women’s Volleyball Nations League

  • If you ever told me that Uzelac/Mijatovic would ever work for more then 1 rotation I would laugh so hard lol.
Props to Uzelac for taking some court off of Mijatovic on reception and to Mijatovic for that service run but also unexpectedly good defence

  • and netherlands gonna finish this round ahead in the race for Olympic ticket

So sad for Canada, they needed to win against Serbia

And serbia can change the race again as they meet with netherlands next round and everything can happen

  • Woke up just in time to see the last few points live, gonna rewatch the game now. Relieved to see we kept it in three sets!

Why didn't no.11 Buijs play in earlier matches ? :/

Iirc she was used as double sub vs China and Brazil, but not really effective and I think that in the match vs. DR the coach simply forgot she is an OH and can be subbed there as well :rolll: and I can also imagine him wanting to keep confidence in Knollema/Marring as they are young and still able to grow a lot from the responsibilities of starting (whether this is the right time for that is another discussion lol)

Passing line with Knollema - Buijs - (Daalderop) - Reesink is also a big risk so it looks like his tactic is to have one of them play with one of M. Jasper/Marring!

  • probably because Ebrar has a a reputation for doing it literally almost every match she plays in and Wolosz doesn’t! I also can’t even tell what she said there so.

    :D:D:D

wolosz does not do do this kind of things much? lol she always make such gestures.

Also, Ebrar always use them for motivation, not to disrespect someone like Larson.

  • Great service pressure from our middles today! All in all I'm happy that the youngsters got a chance this week and didn't really crack under the pressure. Only today Dambrink was a bit disappointing with low efficiency but still not as many hitting errors as before (and a major upgrade to Celeste last week). Also credit where credit's due, Bongaerts did a great job this week. Her connection with Eline & Jolien is obviously there after their season in Stuttgart, but the tempo balls were also very accurate with the Schweriner girls. Never thought she would become my favourite setter for starting position but with this form it shouldn't be a question :box:

p.s. Schalk topscorer for France  Rotar was very underwhelming this week imo, same for Haewegene, so I really hope Schalk gets to be on the OG squad!

Yeah she should be as she cracks something in passing but she's vetter than the others that are more experienced

I expect her to be starter with Cazaute in OG

    Rotar really dissapointing

‘she always make such gestures’ always? Show me. Did you know what she said to Larson? Comparing someone to Ebrar is an exaggeration and insult! Currently there is no player with worst attitude than her.

Ebrar is terrible person in the court. The worst one, and Turkish fans still try to defend her :gone:

  • Vargas, the most popular topic of last year closed and Ebrar opened now. What the hell are you talking about? Don't you have anything else to say about volleyball? Still, didn't you noticed that, this is VNL an international tournament and everyone should take care of themselves in each and every way and clearly noticable that one the player is Ebrar, who minimized that bad attitude on court, when compared with last year, especially after being warned with yellow card?

You had better stop bullshitting and talk about volleyball, her's and and other's capacity, talents, success and failure. If you have any other intension to attaack on Türkiye sneakily and provocade a group of people and start another discussion, no you won't be able to do it. Go Türkiye.

  • have you more details? Poor girl!

It looked like she stepped on Julia's foot after coming down from the block. The same thing happened in the match against Serbia, same foot too if I'm not mistaken.

I was gonna go back to sleep after the match, but now I'm worried about her... I'll let you guys know when we have an update.

  • How do you guys think Turkey vs USA will unfold tonight?

My own thoughts are a bit perplexed with regard to this game. Have to say I expected more from USA than what they have displayed so far.
