I think Stragier is doing a good job replacing her though, but still 4 out of 7 starters not being with NT (this summer) compared to the last few year's squad is quite a lot. With only van Avermaet as "experienced" MB there is no doubt that they should play with Martin as opposite instead of Silke as sliding opposite, so I guess the absence of some is a win for their tactics

Canada is surviving with a very thin pool of players. Actually playing in high level can help the others players to improve.

Where have you heard this? I haven't heard anything about Haak not joining, in interview they said they are excited for challenger cup since they can get points also for world championship next year. She hasn't got anything else to do either so.

Oh no, what a shame! Would have loved to see her battle with Herbots (again) in the QF
but Anna & Alexandra Lazic are still with the team so if they just step up and show their best level Sweden does have chances
