Yoshihara is/was the lead candidate as per Hochi. Sports Hochi is the only unbiased publication that also reports on volleyball since Saori's peak so they are credible.
JVA released the men's coach first most likely has something to do with sponsorship and also because Osaka Blueton is currently #1 in the SVL ranking so the timing is just right.

It did not carry over because ishii is not saori, kurogo is not nagaoka, koga had to play 2nd fiddle and sato was injured
No matter the gender of the coach and even if they had to get Santarelli, if the players are mediocre so is the entire team

Highschoolers? There's Yuzuki Baba, 180cm and Rion Chuganji 179cm but appears taller, maybe they measured her when she was still growing. There could be others 🤔... but I'm not sure if they aren't too young to be NT Interns... they're only 16 (b.2008)

Miku Akimoto and Chunganji are already part of JOC's incubation system which is a higher branch of JVA's scouting division. It was formerly headed by Yoko Zetterlund but she left in 2023.

the taller ones from high school go straight to VLeague. so yeah, the very few tall players you can see at VLeague and high school are pretty much it

As far as I know there's no age minimum. Saori was already an NT intern at 12. But obviously certain factors are considered when given an invite at that age.

Yuzuki Baba is the other ace of Chuganji's batch. I'd say Yuzuki Baba has the most experience so far in that age group. 180cm OH at Junior NT but MB at her High School. Yuzuki and Rion are a good OH-OPP duo to develop.
She already played in Asian U18 Championship twice (apparently it's allowed lol), and she's actually a starter in both competitions. First is as a starting MB when she was 14 yo (during Miku Akimoto's generation), then second time as 16yo starting Outside Hitter Also the captain and MVP of U16 Asian Championship, after her first U18 stint.
The challenge with her so far is she plays MB in Kinrankai, but plays OH (sometimes MB) at Junior NT. She's currently 2nd year and still playing as MB. I hope she gets to play as OH in her final year in high school.
