    Its very clear that Watanabe and Matsui is out.

    MB: Yamada, Airi, Araki.
    Setters: Iwasaki, Seki
    Libero: Kojima, Fudukome
    OH: Wada, Koga, Ishikawa, Inoue, Kurugo, Hayashi.

    This performance kinda reminds me of Japan's round-up towards their their Bronze in 2012.

    Wada's best feature might be that she simply takes swings away from others. She scores points because Wadaball is as Wadaball does but she's hitting mid 30s, which ain't mid 40s

    I haven't been paying attention to Italy at all but even if Japan loses tomorrow they should have plenty of confidence heading to Paris. Brazil always puts them in the right mood even when they lose which is probably why they're motivated the most every time they go against Brazil

    Is this the first time Japan will medal at VNL?

    Not that it matters but Japan just moved past China for 6th in world rankings. They could slip back to 7th with a loss tomorrow

    All I want between now and OG is for Iwasaki to figure out how to make the middle blockers a threat, and for Araki to swing with anger. I'm surprised Araki's numbers are better than Airi's, but Araki is a blast with a high ceiling. I'm superficial. I think Airi is beautiful so I mistakenly assume her numbers would be better :rolll::rolll:

    Best thing about the match today, and I think it's important, is that Japan didn't have one of those sets where they only score 15 points


    AND, a comeback win from 21-24 is gigantic
